The snow arrived at Whakapapa today.
I interviewed the owners of several South Island resorts a few days back.
They say there is no global warming, just climatic cycles.
Well, they have backed their words by spending $100 million on new equipment, even if some is snow making machines.
They are looking forward to making cash from visting Australians.
If Gillard has her way, we soon won’t have any cash, Fairfacts.
Try as I might, I can’t imagine paying for an air ticket, travelling for hours just to fall over in wet white COLD stuff.
I did an Arctic Warfare Course once and to this day I don’t know what I did to deserve the punishment. (Norwegian girls are nice, though….)

Pretty cool! Don’t know about you, but I tend to imagine WW2 in black and white, and colour photographs always come as a surprise.
Sort of,to me the B&W images make the war feel like a history textbook reads.
I know one group who really loves color pics,the restoration crowd.Nothing makes a job easier than seeing exactly what color is supposed to be where.
It’s also a blast getting to see what all that wornout stuff I’ve worked on and worked with over the years looked like when it was new
