    I was surprised when this finding was made public as some sort of mini-bombshell. We’ve known for decades that earth has had periods of global warming were the entire globe was ice free, and its had at least one ice age were the entire globe was an ice cube. As to this natural variability being “difficult to explain by greenhouse gases alone,” how about naming the elephant in the room – all are due to natural variability in the climate, NONE were due to anthropogenic causes, and if I recall correctly, all are explained by Svensmark theory – now partially validated by CERN – that the sun just might play the deciding role.
