After 12 hour days, cutting and welding steel and building cattle yards, 300km from the nearest town on a 95,000 acre cattle station. Very primitive conditions.
Many thanks, guys for keeping the place ticking over. Wabbit is now knackered.

      Jeez, I detest working with steel, though. And $1200 a week sounds kind of ok, until the rotten conditions are taken into account.

        Been there done that, like on a North Sea oil rig but only when I was young – never the less I feel kind of nostalgic, its the sort of thing that when you are there you wonder why the hell you are there but afterwards you are really glad you did it.

          :shock: I think an oil rig might be a lot tougher than an outback cattle station, Andrei. And colder…
          Either way, these are jobs for young men, but they just can’t get workers out here.
          Which is pretty disgusting, when you think about all those layabouts in the cities and larger country towns who are on the dole. :rant

        My current down time includes watching DVDs – good one “The List” filmed in Charleston, SC and Charlotte, NC. Most commenters clearly have nothing better to do so y’all take a look @DVD recommendations.
