The moral of the story is that if you see a cop pull a gun run like hell.
Run out of line of fire, not away from it. But in this case the guy had a gun and pointed it at officers. I don’t think they had much choice but to fire. A bit like chasing a fleeing perp and he crashes into an innocent cit.
Disagree, Brian. The officers did, in fact, have a choice. They could have chosen to be competent with the tools of their profession, or they could have chosen to await the arrival of personnel who *were* competent.
