    You made those outrageous comments and were probably drunk or under the influence of some recreational substance at the time – which is an aggravating, not a mitigating, factor.

    Here’s what you need to do. Instead of defaulting to Whiny Canadian Punk-arse when it all comes back at you, stand tall and take full personal responsibility for your choices and actions. Then pack your bags, turn in your NZ passport and use your Canadian one [you probably still have it – in fact I’d bet the farm you do] and get your useless :censor arse back to where you came from.

    On a related note (the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan), there was a stage-managed fitup of the government on TVNZ yesterday morning (surprise, surprise). First, Defence Minister Jonathon Coleman was interviewed by some creature who ticks all the right “diversity” boxes (brown skin, part-asian, homosexual) about the timetable for withdrawing. Questions like “why can’t we just pull up stumps and walk away now” (yes, we have genuine NBC-calibre “journalists” in NZ as well). Absolutely no thought of our commitments to withdrawing carefully and in a managed manner. Nope, let’s just run away.

    Then there was some panel discussion, with Wira Gardner (who’s actually done some, you know, soldiering, so he knows a little bit about the subject-matter), Bryce Edwards (say no more) and Mike Williams (former Labour Party President and muckraker-in-chief, now President of the … Howard League for Penal “Reform”). Seriously, I almost threw my coffee at the TV! Williams, who’s never done an honest day’s work in his life and whose history includes all of the very best leftists protests including opposing nuclear technology, “apartheid” and of course the Vietnam war, actually had the stones to defend what this vile leftist troll had said!

    I should have known not to watch it (it was on TVNZ, after all) when the host during his introduction played a clip of Paula Bennett mistakenly called the Netherlands a “Nordic” country, and made a snide comment about Governor Palin and “seeing Alaska”. These empty-suit talking heads clearly get their talking points from old Media Matters material, and past episodes of Saturday Night Live.

    Where is NZ’s Andrew Bolt? Our Hannity? I know, I know. :gunner :rant

    just lost my Kadie – 3 hours ago-
    very sad-
    spent 12 hours w/ her yesterday – watching Netflix- I NEVER watch that many movies- but – she lay next to me – here in the kitchen–on the cool terra cotta floor- (it’s hot here in CA) ‘something’ told me to spend the time – Sunday!!!!!
    told her to wait for me with my several horses- several dogs and several cats–
    that I would be seeing her again—

    and to think some ‘men of God-pastors – really believe that animals are not in heaven-
    my son came home from sunday school – crying- ‘Mom-pastor told us that animals don’t go to heaven- does that mean that Daphne isn’t there?”
    (Daphne was our ‘old type Irish Setter )
    I said-“Oh – Really!”
    and I had a talk with the ‘good pastor’-
    I told him- if there are no animals (pets) in heaven-I DO NOT WANT TO GO THERE!!!!”

    and told my son- then – 8 years old- believe me- our God is great and Daphne will be sitting w/ Jesus-!!!!!
    so- my best friends will be waiting for me!!
