      If I remember correctly, it is something about “the opiate of the masses” isn’t it?

      Whilst I agree that Islam is all that it is cracked down to be, I too do not believe it is the whole or dominant problem that faces us today. I think that the Marxists (especially the non violent “cultural” kind) have correctly identified that Islam could usefully do some hard work for them. That to my mind is why NATO is wheeled in to support getting the Muslim Brotherhood into government in so many places today. Wherever there has been significant opposition to Muslim Brotherhood government, NATO has done the heavy work and then left the jihadis to “legitimise” the “regime change”.

      As I have said before, I don’t want to be around when the Islamists discover that they have been used, played for fools, and subsequently abandoned by the Hard Left.

      While only two governments are clearly run as Colonial enterprises these days (Greece and Italy have rulers appointed by the EU, contrary to local electoral law), my guess is that there are more to come.

    I’ve looked into this. The interpreter of the swirls on the ring has an over-active imagination and was using a low resolution photo to base it on.

    It wouldn’t have surprised me if the ring had the stated text on it though. Barry has amply provided enough clues in that direction.

        True, but that could just as easily be because he didn’t want to admit to his homosexual “marriage” to his college room-mate (well documented elsewhere).

    This ring issue may be irrelevant. If Romney gets in and a proper, open and exhaustive investigation into Obama’s antecedents determines that he was not born in the USA then every piece of legislation he has signed into law will become null and void. Thus a major percentile of the destruction he has wrought on the American way of life will, in a single stroke, be neutralised or open to reversal.

    Politicians almost never investigate and prosecute their predecessors. They have more in common with one another than they ever have with the mere peasants who elect them.
    Even if his social security number is found to be fraudulent, even if he’s found to have been ineligible to be President, my guess is he’ll be allowed to retire quietly and later “rehabilitated” by those who currently support him.
