Fishermen,Loggers and Farmers, all three have something in common. They all work hard as hell, have tons of money pass through their hands, but keep very little and they recieve very little thanks for the jobs they do.
Here’s another great clip, a pilot boat in 8m seas.
I’ve been out in 12m seas (off North Cape, NZ), getting home from a crayfishing trip to the Three Kings islands, and it wasn’t a deal of fun….nearly twelve hours, a broken wrist and multiple bruises.
Unforgettable, though and I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. http://youtu.be/eLIzp3WLpQE
My dad served on the USS Independence from 1961-1963,made two trips across the north Atlantic. He said you could always tell when a bad storm was coming up.First the Auxiliary and Picket ships would leave, then the Cruisers and finally the Destroyers leaving the Carrier all by it’s lonesome to plow straight through.
The other way you could tell was when swells started cresting over the flight deck which was normally 85′ off the water
‘I believe that politicians, lawyers, busy-bodies and do-gooders are like salamis- greatly improved by hanging for a time.’ Oswald Bastable
"The loss of freedom is like cancer; it will spread slowly but surely across all parts of society until our liberty has been utterly eaten away and we are left with nothing but a half-forgotten idea of what freedom was."
Reporter used some two year old pics, but neat pics anyway :popcorn

How about underway replenishment in a storm?USS Hornet CV-12 and the USS Frank E.Evans DD-754.

The Evans was later cut in half in a collision by the HAMS Melbourne during night time maneuvers.
The Melbourne was the only British Commonwealth vessel to sink two allied warships in peacetime collisions
