‘Regulatory costs to business explode under Obama
….the costs of “major” regulations – those estimated to cost at least $100 million in any one year (in 2001 dollars) – issued by the Obama administration in its first three years nearly tripled the cost of those issued by the Clinton administration in its first three years, nearly quintupled the cost of those issued by the George W. Bush administration in its first three years, and nearly doubled the cost of those issued by Bush and Clinton combined. Again, that’s according to the Obama White House’s own tallies…’
Leftists/”progressives”/socialists are not welcome here. Pay for your own soapbox.

Indeed, a Dear Leader should never kill the goose that lays the golden eggs!
However, this was Obama’s primary plan from Day One in office – the destruction of the American CAPITALIST economy – to be replaced by a SOCIALIST command style economy on the model of the late, not-so-great, Soviet Union.
The only problem with the Regime Brain Storm is that once you kill off capitalism – and the golden eggs of wealth – you reduce the nation to poverty, homelessness, disease, starvation, anarchy and civil war.
In other words – the perfect conditions for a Regime Change that may see the current Dear Leader swinging from the end of a hemp rope, or being made a head shorter, as was the punishment for England’s traitor-king Charles I at the end of the English civil war.
Yes, today America’s Dear Leader is riding high with the mass support of the parasite-moron voters in love with his welfare checks.
But what happens when the treasury is finally empty and the welfare checks stop?
Indeed, it has always been the far lefts plan to collapse the American economy. Cloward and Piven’s strategy has been focused on increasing entitlements until the treasury collapses under the weight of its debts. Slowing the economy, spending money that they don’t have, increasing taxation (which slows the economy), and continually borrowing to pay for routine expenses will all conspire to implode the U.S. economy and when it collapses, the domino effect will spread all over the world collapsing economy after economy. Is that certain? No, but it remains a distinct possibility.
Portugal, Ireland, Greece, and Spain are all drains on the European Union’s economy. France’s economy is about as stable as a house of cards as is the economy of Britain. The only fiscal strength left in the EU is Germany and she can’t carry the entire EU. In fact, she can’t continue to keep carrying Greece. In the Pacific things will not be any better.
Japan’s economy will fold as will that of China and Australia and New Zealand will likely follow.
In truth, the American economy has been shaky since 9/11. We never fully recovered from that economically. Point of fact, if you want to remove the United States from world politics you do not need a fate accompli like the attack on Pearl Harbor to cripple us. All you need do is to give an unstable economy a firm push and we are off of the world stage.
You can imagine the consequences of such an event should it occur. The world is on very unstable ground right now and with nuclear proliferation spreading, rogue nations itching to stretch their military muscles, and a West that no longer has the will to fight, the 21st century is stacking up to be very dangerous indeed.
Interesting times my friends, interesting times.
@William
“May you live in Interesting Times” is a Chinese curse.
Yes, as many experts have predicted, when the American economy finally goes belly up – as seems to be the Obama Regime plan in the next four years – the resulting Super Depression will take down most of the world’s economies as well.
Then what?
Global one world government with Obama as “President?”
But how could that possibly happen without at least one large country in the world with a healthy economy and a huge hi-tech military machine.
So what we have coming down the road in the not-to-distant future is MAED – Mutually Assured Economic Destruction.
It seems to me what the International Left really wants is “Global Suicide.”
I really, truly don’t know why this is news, other than perhaps it came from within the Administration. Although that in itself is a dangerous omen; they’re so confident in their entrenchment in the halls of power they’re actually boasting about killing private enterprise.
Oh, and don’t forget those are only MAJOR regulations issued in the FIRST 3 years. We’re now some 2 years further on in the long march.
Seriously, I don’t know why anybody would be surprised. Leftists like Obama and Clinton are hell-bent on delivering a top-down, centrally-controlled economy. To do that they must first crush private enterprise.
No, the interesting factoids for me in the article are this:
the difference between the Clinton and Obama numbers demonstrates very, very clearly the difference between an effective Congress and a lapdog. Newt got Clinton on a leash and wouldn’t let him off (except to go a-rapin’ and a-pillagin’, using the Oval Office as a bordello). Bonehead has been weak-kneed before the Great One.
Bush was no friend of private enterprise. A very good friend of Big Business, but certainly not of anybody else. Any decent, Conservative Republican President would have seen his bar on the chart in that article slip below the $0 line.
For shame, Bonehead. For shame, W.
“..the difference between the Clinton and Obama numbers demonstrates very, very clearly the difference between an effective Congress and a lapdog..”
Yes indeed. So much so, that the Repubs are looking more and more like accomplices in crime than a real opposition.
“Looking more and more like accomplices” is so yesterday. Before I speak of the link below, I had already felt they were that. Why?
See, because of the insanity of the Dems, GOP “complicity” began appearing to be being closer “masterminding.” It so much easier to give the impression that you’re overwhelmed by circumstances when you’ve been actively appearing on Statist media to aid those idiots in doing everything from marginalizing to politically assassinating to pulling off vote theft against all truly Rightist opposition.
I guess maybe you haven’t yet heard about an item I linked a couple of days ago?
What will the majority do when it discovers “You rightwing nuts just refuse to get it that we don’t have the votes” has been engineered? I really don’t think that many will pull their heads out of the sand to be frank with you.
After you read it you’ll realize —
1) the GOP kept the news under wraps,
2) have done badly at repealing it in part because of the judges they agreed to hear the cases) and
3)didn’t seek to get public outrage on their side (after all it is all our votes that get made meaningless by this agreement)
— that calling them out as ‘appearing to be accomplices’ is way too understated.
As the man who won my contests puts it: “I’ve gone on from calling them SKUNCs to calling them traitors.”
“..calling them out as ‘appearing to be accomplices’ is way too understated. ”
It is, I agree Pascal.
