    How interesting – I just left a comment on another blog that had a hilarious post on “Why I voted Democrat”. This list was amusing, with such entries as:

    4. I voted Democrat because Oil companies making a profit of 4% on a gallon of gas is obscene, but the Government adding 15% tax isn’t.

    and some-one came along and commented:

    Well this is synical and rather juvenile if you ask me. Especially the reference to gun control. 12,000 firearm deaths a year in the US says many Americans can’t be trusted with guns…Merely propose gun reform and you have morons luke this guy saying the government doesn’t trust Americans to have a gun (I don’t trust most people with guns) What’s the alternative? Vote rebulican…?? Sure, if you are rich!

    So I added to the list (comment now in moderation):

    – I voted Democrat because I believe only rich people vote Republican.
    – I voted Democrat because I trust the government more than my neighbour.
    – I voted Democrat because I believe the 12,000 people that died from gunshot wounds were all innocent, nice people, and the bad guy never ever suffers.
    – I voted Democrat because the above list is inane, but the Democrat commentary on Sarah Palin and the Tea Party Movement is balanced and even-handed.

    (I also believed that fat socialist Mike Moore’s bullshit about the KKKs roots. I’ve since learned the carpet-baggers were a real problem, and they lynched numerous whites too. Not defending ’em, just saying)
