Well, it’s not a legitimate government in any case, so perhaps this was inevitable:

There would be no appeal to the courts on the merits of the advocate’s decision to remove a publisher’s exemption from privacy laws, severely curbing its ability to report on matters of public interest.
In a reversal of the onus of proof, companies wanting to expand or merge with others would have to prove to the advocate their plans did not lead to a “substantial lessening of diversity”, without a right of appeal on the merits of the case…’
