Cool. We had some good fishing there. Even off the town wharves, at high tide a livebait produced dory and kingfish.
Thanks for that, loved the French airplane with the Gnome radial. The pilot’s getup cracks me up,looks like he’s wearing a flower pot on his head
I found a link the other day to a branch in the Automotive family tree, one that gets overlooked often. The FWD corporation, inventors of what many believe to be the world’s first 4×4 automobile. Here are a few picks of their early model B 4×4 which was popular during the 1st world war. http://encarsglobe.com/photo/im/fwd-model-b/07/
Later they formed the famous Oshkosh motor company and both companies built special trucks for industry and the military. One of the more unique designs was the Terra Cruiser- http://www.mace-b.com/38tmw/missiles/mm-1.htm
Hmmm……..one of those might be fun. Especially if came complete with missile.
Enjoyed this. It is worthwhile googling the NZ Steampunk following based in Oamaru, or better yet visiting the restored Victorian precinct there. Things there to mesmerize.
I’m hoping to visit it sometime, Cad. Last time we just drove through on the way back from somewhere or other and didn’t stop.
Nice little town, too.
PS Get a load of the name “Wayne Kerr” been called that myself a few times!
Good to see you’re still alive, mate.
Alive and fishing

Oh yes!
Thanks. One of these days, I’m going to buy a bronze block plane. I got a quote once to get one cast, but it was eye-wateringly expensive.
