    I found a link the other day to a branch in the Automotive family tree,one that gets overlooked often.The FWD corporation,inventors of what many believe to be the world’s first 4×4 automobile.Here are a few picks of their early model B 4×4 which was popular during the 1st world war.

  2. Enjoyed this. It is worthwhile googling the NZ Steampunk following based in Oamaru, or better yet visiting the restored Victorian precinct there. Things there to mesmerize.

    • I’m hoping to visit it sometime, Cad. Last time we just drove through on the way back from somewhere or other and didn’t stop.
      Nice little town, too.

    • Oh yes! :smile: Thanks. One of these days, I’m going to buy a bronze block plane. I got a quote once to get one cast, but it was eye-wateringly expensive.
