It’s a damn shame what happened to Africa since the European colonial powers withdrew in the 1950s and 60s…especially Britain…leaving millions of good people to a terrible fate at the hands of barbarians.
Some experts say Africa has seen the worst and things are looking up, but if that’s so it’s due to men like Fred who fought the good fight without much help from the Free World.
A family member recently helped out with the logistics associated with UK SAS & SBS selection activities in a certain SE Asian location. The course originally started with just over 190 candidates; only about a dozen can expect to be badged.

Back in the day (I’m told) most jungle warfare training was in Borneo.
