Open house

No particular reason, other than being lazy tonight. And if I stay on the computer, I’ll give in to the urge to have a cigarette…..

Don’t give up the fags, is will only stress your more. Take up Cigars, 1 a day will do your increase in taste, relaxation and coming together with your cigar loving friends
will be awesome. The time taken to smoke a really good cigar is time well spent.
Take it from me. 69 and going strong and a cigar a day or more, Cubans or whatever, all good relaxing stuff , specially with friends or a good bottle of scotch

Interesting how the Seattle police adopted a “zero tolerance” for violence by 2013 May Day rioters, who were mostly whites:

Whereas the various police departments during “Beach Week” allowed black criminals the run of the country:

The message clearly is this: “If you’re white and rioting, we will knock you in the head and haul you off to jail; if you’re black you are the victim and are free to kick whitey’s butt, rape his women and rob his stores.”

The Classmates website posted my high school yearbook online in glorious B&W – and you’ll find my smiling 17 year old face.

I understand we were the last “normal” kids at Fairland High in Proctorville, Ohio until about 1976  Vietnam War…Hippies…Drugs…etc.

I know…I know…I was in the Vietnam War and the military under Leftist pressure sometimes crapped all over a white Christian soldier who had done his duty to score political points.

I always said my case “USA v. BARBOUR” (1994) that I appealed all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court was done for the reason of Leftist PC, because as a white Christian patriot veteran, I was the perfect target for them. I would also note that in my Appeal, the two Leftist judges on the panel voted me guilty, while the one conservative judge voted me innocent and even issued a “minority report” to the public.

If we do have that revolution almost one-third of the registered voters think we are going to have – I don’t want to hear any whines from Leftists about how mean and unfair we are, as we march them to the Wall and the firing squad to be executed for treason.

http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif I love those things. Years ago, me and a mate in separate but very similar boats went to a bay in NZ where Orcas turn up every year, and we ended up right alongside them, reaching out and grabbing hold of their dorsal fins and rolling them on their side.
They seemed to enjoy it–in any event, they stayed there and let us play for about twenty minutes.
One of the high spots of my life.

      • Darin says:

They are endlessly facinating.Just look at the speed they were swimming at for over an hour and they were just playing.Truly amazing creatures.

KG, the smoking thing …… I have watched many really old people die of shame, boredom and embarrassment as they lose their independence etc. My own “clean-living” mum, 91, is now in hospital for just being old and falling over sometimes. Her mind is still sharp, which is cruel. Maybe it’s just my justification to continue smoking, but I really don’t want to end this way. I’d rather go out earlier and, with my nasty habits, most likely will. Either way, we go.

  6. KG says:

Couldn’t agree more, Mara. I don’t expect to live forever and don’t want to anyway.
But there are other good reasons for me to stop smoking.

Drunk and melancholy. Must be Friday.

On the smoking thing, KG, I used a book called ‘The Only Way To Stop Smoking Permanently’ by Allen Carr. Patches, etc. were bullshit for me, but Carr’s book did the trick.

  8. KG says:

AHA! I’ve been trying to remember the name of that book, Gantt. Thanks.
Two docs I know recommended it, but being a birdbrain I promptly forgot both title and author.
I’ll join you in the drunk and melancholy later. Must be a Celtic thing. (Russians do it well too, though..)

  9. KG says:

There’s half a bottle of Laphroiag here needs looking after.

  10. The Gantt Guy says:

I have a half case of Alana Estate ‘Rapture’ Pinot noir calling to me. And a half-block of Mac’s Gold. Melancholy seems a constant state. Drunk just makes it more fun. Happy hour on the ferry, with $4.50 drinks, makes it easy to achieve both states.

The Allen Carr books are fantastic, they expose the scam being perpetrated by Big Pharma on long-suffering smokers the world over.

  11. KG says:

Brit council elections (which are a big deal there):
‘ Most of the 35 councils holding elections in England and Wales will not declare their results until later today but with six results in so far, the Tories had lost 74 seats and relinquished control of two local authorities.

The Lib Dems lost 16 seats but Ukip were the night’s biggest winners with 42 gains. Labour added 26 council seats to their tally.’
‘The results lead to immediate calls from Tory MPs for David Cameron to take a tougher line on Europe and immigration in a bid to stem losses to UKIP.’

    Is the worm finally turning?
