    Agreed.

    Make it known to everyone that Australia WILL protect its borders (and to hell with the whining U.N.). Make it known that any unauthorised vessel approaching Australia will be sunk – no ifs, no buts.

    Five or six sinkings should be enough to start getting the message across.

    Also make it clear that anyone who DOES (somehow) dodge the navy and make it to Australia like this will be immediately deported.

    I want the UN head quarters out of the US and the valuable property on which the buildings stand returned to the citizens –just think what we could do with it!!!

    Every single UN Treaty, Convention, Protocol, Declaration, etc. should be scrapped. Any right-thinking nation should withdraw their membership……….and funding.

          So send them to work camps for about five years (no pay, of course) and use the labor to build national parks, roads, bridges and new cities in the Outback.

          At the end of the prison sentence, send them back to their country of origin.

          Now that really would get word the back about what’s awaiting illegals in Australia :!:

          Otherwise Australia stays up near the top of the list of countries for parasites of the Third World wanting to live on the welfare dime.

      I agree, KG.

      The problem with putting illegals in work camps (as Ronbo has suggested) is that then you have to *feed* them. That would end up costing a fair bit, I imagine.
      I *do* agree though that such a thing would be a big deterrent to them.

      Sinking the boats is simpler and more than likely cheaper. Heck, you wouldn’t even need a navy ship.
      A drone could do it.

    Tony Abbott has *got* to take the position that Australia is NOT the doss-house of the world. It would be easy to make a strong election ad out of *that* too.

      Mexico has on the books some of the toughest gun control laws in the world, but any recent Gingo visitor can tell you that most Mexicans have a gun within reach.
