    Ha ha. Just this morning I went for a medical for a job in the next town. I witnessed tolerance of two sand-monkeys who hadn’t filled in their paperwork or brought along an interpreter.

    Afterwards I went for a stroll down what will be the new town, and again witnessed tolerance: an asian girl who (surely not stereotypically) couldn’t parallel park.

    *I wonder if your link to Bolt in the other post won’t work because I’m in a tolerant public library?

    I like Hong Kong and find the people busy but polite and consistently helpful. Maybe its the number of europeans there and the historial links to the British that make a kiwi acceptable.

      Despite what the article says, attacks by kangaroos aren’t at all rare. Right now we have quite a few in town here and the locals are very wary of the bigger males.

    And they still got it wrong! I would pick Saudi Arabia, Iran and that lot as the worst! Any Islamist controlled country is by definition racist.

    OT though…I’m going through a tough patch because a wonderful man and fellow scientist died from melanoma last week (it went internal). His wake is next Saturday even though he asked for no fuss. All who knew him want to do something to remember him. He was more than 10 years younger than I am …far too young to be taken.

    Have we considered that being racially tolerant might not be such a good thing? From my understanding, it has led to many problems around the world. Korea and Japan, for example, aren’t exactly racially tolerant and they are successful and have very low crime rates, etc.

    I’m not surprised…The West – and especially the Anglosphere nations are very tolerant of different races, religions and cultures – The East, on the other hand, is the Homeland of Racism.

    Remember the fate of the American-Vietnamese children who were wiped out by the Communist Vietnamese when they conquered South Vietnam in 1975?

    And India…INDIA :!: I’ve visited India and seen with my own eyes the hatred many “Aryan” Indians have for their dark skinned “Outcasts.”

    I recall in college I had an dark Indian professor by the name of “Raj” who taught Brit Lit and one day a pretty little innocent female student of about 19 asked him if he missed India.

    Raj replied in an angry tone – “What would I miss about India? The racism? In India I would cleaning out latrines! In America, I’m a college teacher with a good income, nice house and car. In comparison to India, there is no racism in America.”

    The hell with it–I’m going for a drive at dawn, hunting pigs. A few hours spent in the company of galahs, cockatoos, eagles and ‘roos, no people and no traffic will clear the head a bit. :smile:

        Clearly, you need the race relations class the U.S. Army sent me to back in 1975, because the counselor told the troops that it was impossible for a black man to be racist – even if he hated whites and wanted to kill them all – because racism is a “power thing.”

        You see, the colored people in America have no power.

        At that point I observed that I would be going to headquarters after the class ended and tell the African-American general in charge of Berlin Brigade that the Race Relations NCOIC told me that he had no power to command the troops because he was black.

        This ended RR for me – I was told to never to come back to this class again :!: :mrgreen:

          This type of non-logic really pisses me. It is akin to saying that a black rapist isn’t a rapist because he has no power over his victim.
          It is a tragedy that the liberals cannot see reality for the piles of “academic” shit they plaster their worlds with.
