    Like so much these days, history is repeating itself.

    Time: 1096

    Place: Rome

    What happened: Due to CENTURIES of Islamic attacks against Christians, the Pope declares a Crusade against Islam – and thus is launched CENTURIES of European counter attacks that will end with colonization by European Powers of much of the Muslim world.

    I think at some point the West will declare Crusade once more against Islam, and kill or drive out, all Muslims living in Western countries.

    But I’m not so sure Islam gets off this time with the light sentence of military occupation. :evil:

      U S –First War as a Republic-against muslims (Barbary Pirates) –Jefferson sent the new Marines—-Shores of Tripoli – anyone!!

      As a Follower of Christ – I am tired of turning the other check- That is why the Creator gave us the Full Armor ( God put it on in Is 59 – gave us charge of it in Eph 6 ) –and it was not for just spiritual purposes!!
      God’s question in Is 59 – paraphrase:-
      “What are you doing about the shedding of innocent blood and un -just judges?’ nothing-
      OK- I – God – will put on the Full Armour–
      Enough Cheek Turning!!

    The priest is OK as his is a higher calling – this is but a hiccup along the way and God looks after His own. Only a Christian will understand this. I note the Catholics were themselves pretty harsh on the early reformers – the burnings at the stake make great reading for the magnificent courage displayed by the clergy killed. Those acts of brutality lead to a decline in the RC Church because people knew it was hardly a good example to follow. That doesn’t make the appalling barbarism acceptable and at some point simple survival will dictate we take a stand.

    The RC’s have generally developed into nice people in the face of the Bible convicting them (like all of Christianity) and that would be expected. The Koran doesn’t lead to the self examination that the Bible does so I see no real hope – doing what it says and being a “good” Muslim means acting like an arsehole.

    I note the Saudis are supplying Assad(?) and if so that means the US is backing both sides. Tails I win, heads you lose.

    And the sad and insane thing is that the west would rather have more of the kind that carried out that sort of killing to come here than their victims from the middle east.

    We even want to help these savages, heavens above, have we gone completely mad.
