‘A YOUNG woman was rushed to hospital after collapsing in despair when her rapist father not only escaped jail but was let off with a good-behaviour bond.
Her father had pleaded guilty to repeatedly raping his daughter, now 19, since she was just nine years old.
The woman’s lawyer, Greg Walsh, called the sentence a “political and legal disgrace”.
“The justice system has failed her miserably,” Mr Walsh said. He said the 19-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was in a fragile state under medical care.
It is the latest stark example of judges being out of touch with how the community expects paedophiles to be dealt with harshly…’

    Like I said on that post about the pedophile who got 40 years in the USA, thank heavens that scumbag was caught there, imagine those 2 were sentenced here, 2 years, 3, 5 tops.

    At some point we the people need some way to hold these judges and magistrates to account, this is after all our country and we are the victims of these scumbags are we not. As it stands our justice system is a joke.

      …every two years up to eight years….then they hit the road and can write their book (that no one will read) about the mean old public that won’t allow judges life tenure. :mrgreen:

      The judge is smarter than we, the peasants, Belinda. He understands the subtleties and nuances involved in the case of a man raping his own daughter over a ten year period.
      It’s only the unwashed rabble who demand simple justice, you see…..
