    From your link:
‘Apple, Facebook, AOL, Verizon, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, and Comcast did not respond to queries about whether they have received requests for users’ passwords and how they would respond to them.’
So, why would we entrust any data to these companies?

Its becoming apparent that nothing to do with computers or the internet is going to be safe from dirty little government tyrants.

Lesson 1- don’t ever use the medium for anything you need to keep private.

Lesson 2- yearn for the day when we can teach these bastards a lesson themselves.

People are getting pissed off enough that the lesson–if it comes–will be violent.

And it’s not just computers, cell phones and landlines are also being recorded-

I’ve changed all my passwords to: “Blow-Me-Obama :!::mrgreen:

I just checked mine, and according to the site I use it will take something like a thousand years to crack them. One is listed as “unbreakable”.
But that’s no help if the hosting company co-operates with the feds…..

Massive overload is the only thing that will work–if enough people use key words which trigger surveillance, there simply won’t be enough snooping horsepower to cope.

Actually I was thinking today that we should do the opposite.By “we” I mean everyone of every political and social stripe all over the world.

Pick a day or even better a week at sometime in the near future when we will all go dark.

I propose we call it Operation Turn Off or OTO for short.A time when we turn off the cell phones and the computers.Just flip the switch and power off.

Our message should be two fold and simple.

#1 If you represent a multi-national communications corporation we have the option of just shutting down and costing you Billions in revenue per day.Best you don’t submit to any “requests”K?

#2 If you are a paranoid hypochondriac government who is annoyed by our chatter you should really be in fear of our silence.

Francis Porretto has something to say about this:

Well with all this here fancy NSA U.S. Imperial Federal Government spying on literally everyone in the world, they sure haven’t been able to terminate very many Islamic terrorists operations, how have they? Ditto any revolutionary movement anywhere in the world… Ditto the Tea Party…Ditto The Brotherhood… Ditto Russia..Ditto China…DITTO CRUSADER RABBIT :!:

Like Napoleon said, “If you say you’re going to take Vienna, take Vienna :!:

All this crap is doing is to PISS OFF EVERYONE and by God the HAMMER is gonna come down hard on some “Faceless” Feds when either we blow the Obama Regime to tiny little pieces, or some whistle blower like Snowden gives us Federal names, addresses and THEIR EMAILS :!:

And good old NSA DOES have ALL their documents, video and audio nice and safe in Utah.

The sword cuts both ways…
