“affirmative action in combat” ???

‘..Though the armed services have promised that combat standards will be the same regardless of gender, senior officers are considering initially separate training systems
…Army Lt. Gen. Howard Bromberg, serving as deputy chief of staff for personnel, considers separate training programs to be more about considering all soldiers as individuals..
..While the Marines were the first service to allow women to serve in combat roles, they were expected to undergo the same officer combat qualification course as men.
Of the six women who entered, all have dropped out due to injury or failure’
source
Stripped of the bullshit, the story is that women can’t cut it, so the brass is going to lower standards just for them.
And the “considering all soldiers as individuals” bollocks flies in the face of what intensive military training is about–stripping men of their individuality in order to mould them into functioning parts of a complex machine. Individuality surfaces later, when the soldier is qualified and known to be reliable.

Defence minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert will be on board her ministry’s boat during the Gay Pride parade in Amsterdam on Saturday. It is the first time a defence minister has joined the parade and is designed to show that the ministry is an equal opportunities employer.

    The end is near.

We can also use them in the first wave like Iran did with kids, this could save a lot of good fighting men.

So when does the “feelings” department open. After all, if it’s now all about particular individuals, shouldn’t their “feelings” also be elevated.

  4. Darin says:

I hear “some women are tough and can do all the same PT men do” from some of my pussy whipped buddies.
To which I say “some” is a qualifier that means not all or even a minority.Just because one or two women might be able to complete the PT requirement that certainly doesn’t mean it’s the norm.
I will predict that the first engagement of women in frontline infantry will lead to a blood bath.

  5. Findalis says:

Women have no place in combat. The majority of us (95%) cannot do the physical work. Our male counterparts will be more concerned with our safety than their own. And morale will drop like a lead weight.

The left has finally gotten their wish. They have effectively destroyed the US military.

  6. Contempt says:

Findalis, also our troops are trained to win hearts and minds. Touchy feely. Right.
“Come and take it” is old fashioned. Now it’s “Please cum and please take me.”

This has all been tried before in the U.S. Army during the 1970s as an experiment ordered by President Jimmy Carter, and it didn’t work then, and it won’t work now, and I don’t care what you do with “lowering the fitness standards for women” – that has ALWAYS been the case in the U.S. Army since the formation of the WACs back in WW I – the females have a separate P.T. test, otherwise none of them would qualify physically to be soldiers :!:

Yes, there are few women who could get into the infantry and pass the male P.T. and combat assault course, but very damn few.

So unless the government is prepared press gang women into the combat arms, there will be very few women serving there as line soldiers. This will be just another crappy PC idea that will be rejected once again.

      • Findalis says:

This time the government is forcing the military to lower the standards for women. Make them so low that every woman can pass them.

Once in the units these women will demand separate bathrooms, separate sleeping areas, special privileges. And they won’t be required to carry the same poundage in their packs, making the men carry it for them.

        • KG says:

Plenty of young men have discovered that combat isn’t quite – in fact not remotely – like they imagined. And they have played cowboys and Indians and war games since they learned to walk. Aggression is hard-wired into them.
Women can fight, as Russian women proved during WW2, but they were a very different breed to modern Western women.
This is a program being driven by a few activists (none of whom has ever tasted battle) and spineless PC top brass. It will either fade away or end very badly.

    Sure did

Yes, there are exceptional women in the military, one my squad sergeants in my Military Intelligence outfit in Augsburg, Germany in the early 1970s was a trained paratrooper and sniper, and she took P.T. with the men :!: who were pressed to kept up with her. On the rifle range she was the best shot, and could even hit the target at 20 meters with 15 rounds out of 20 round magazine on full automatic with the Vietnam era M16A1…

I was very impressed with this young woman who was quite attractive, intelligent and heterosexual. When she was on duty, she acted like a man. When she was off duty, she all woman and made the German gals of Augsburg very jealous when she walked the old Stasse in a summer dress and all their men did an “eyes right” as the blond haired and blue eyed former farm girl from Kansas clicked past them on high heels :!:

The locals even made up a name for Sergeant Griener when they found out she was active duty and not an American wife: Die Walküre (The Valkyrie) And there was a war story that when she and her Special Forces boyfriend walked into their favorite eating establishment downtown, one her German waiter fans would put Wagner’s RIDE OF THE VALKRIES on the PA :!:

One boring winter day at Ops when even the Russian military decided that a Central European blizzard was reason enough to stay quiet and indoors, I asked the Spartian Woman if she missed the infantry, “Sarge, if you’re a woman out with the troops in the field, there is absolutely no privacy…Let me put it this way, how would you like to have 30 women watch you take a dump :?: No, I’ll take the M.I. and the separate bathroom :!::mrgreen:
