On his proposal to raise tax on tobacco:
“I say again, when it comes to cancer, treating cancer and smoking-related cancers costs the Australian taxpayer hundreds of millions of dollars each year and frankly these are funds which we have to raise from the taxpayer.”
The truth:
‘Smokers cost the health system $318 million a year, according to a Treasury analysis this year.
But with this increase they will pay in total more than $7 billion a year in excise and customs duties.’
Kevin Rudd is a barefaced liar. So, sue me, you socialist prick.
Leftists/”progressives”/socialists are not welcome here. Pay for your own soapbox.

As an ex-smoker I say stop if you want to.
But it is NOT the government’s job to force you to stop.
If you want to smoke you should be able to. Able to enjoy a smoke after dinner. Able to enjoy a smoke in your car, home, backyard. Able to smoke in your office.
I say agree to the tax on one condition. If a person lives to the average age of death with no smoking related illness they get a check for all the services they haven’t used, but have been taxed for all those years. It’s only fair right?
But you’re talking about justice and Krudd is talking about expediency and power…..
So Krudd tells us that this tax is a health issue that will reduce the numbers of sinners then bases the increased Govt revenues on figures that assume that smokers will not reduce in number. FUCK, how stupid are we to never get to the heart of the deceit? I am so tired of the public kowtowing to authorities in the face of so called “sin taxes?” It has been known for decades by anyone with a brain and a computer, that smokers pay more tax than their health issues consume. Krudd is yet another political thief and liar. I hate them all with a passion.
“I hate them all with a passion”
Me too, Mara, and I wish to God people would wake up. But the anti-smoking and anti-drinking zealots don’t give a damn about ethical considerations since the dishonesty promotes their agenda.
It’s time for the prick to add up the health costs of all the “refugees” they are importing, the overweight islanders and the ‘families’ of migrants. Add to it their housing, dole and use of other tax-payer funded services, only a small portion of which is recovered from those of them that actually contribute to the economy.
Damn right, Mawm.
On BNI I saw, again, some of the unspeakable things that Arabs consider OK to do to animals. And yet we let these people into our countries?
Well, we don’t, do we? Our lords and masters do.
Useful mother, Krudd has:
‘Kevin Rudd justifies his tax hike on cigarettes:
I’m the son of a woman who never smoked in her life and she died of lung cancer, we assume through passive smoking.
Kevin Rudd meets a sufferer of Parkinson’s disease:
Anne was also delighted to meet personally with Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. Anne shared some of her personal story of living with Parkinson’s and her volunteer work for the organisation and Parkinson’s community. Prime Minister Rudd’s mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and she passed away in 2004.
Kevin Rudd at the Pink Ribbon Breakfast:
Lending his support to the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre’s Pink Ribbon Breakfast in Sydney yesterday, the Prime Minister said his mother Margaret had been diagnosed with breast cancer in1963.
She had undergone a mastectomy in rural Queensland only to have a recurrence in 1973, he said… He said his mother had died of unrelated causes in 2004.
Could passive smoking really be blamed for the death of Rudd’s mother, given her serious illnesses?…’

The lies will never end with this prick
“OPPOSITION Leader Kevin Rudd has claimed that Queensland surgeons failed to properly look after his dying father, Albert Rudd, 38 years ago when he was fighting a hospital-acquired infection.”…………………
“The report said Albert Rudd had been drinking before driving, that he kept falling asleep at the wheel, and that when the car hit a power pole, he was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered massive internal injuries.”
