Oh my, my – the Key government doing secret deals with Maori. Who’d have believed that! And one of his ministers acting like a ‘progressive’ politician and using tax-payer funded bribes to secure his future access to the trough. If it walks like a duck…

This is why I’m glad my grandchildren are being raised as Australians.

      • KG says:

I think a lot of people feel the same way, Minette–and more than a few of them hard-working Maoris in Australia.

    Hi folks

On reading this one, I decided I had to get my head out of my job long enough to send a sternly-worded letter to my local MP:

Sir, I am not in the habit of writing to my local MP, but was alerted yesterday to a gross injustice being forced through our Parliament.

I am referring to the Ngati Toa Settlement Bill which, as I understand, is about to be passed into law.

I ask you to think about whether you believe, were they in possession of the facts outlined in the linked article (below) and the submission from Dr John Robinson on this Bill, the vast majority of your constituents would want you to vote for, or against this piece of legislation? The key piece of information being, of course, that Ngati Toa are about to receive $10 million essentially as a reward for their forebears’ genocide, cannibalism and ethnic cleansing of the entire top half of the south island! If you believe your constituents would ask you to vote against, then I urge you to follow that conviction and vote accordingly. Follow your conscience and cross the floor.

You and I have never met but in my travels around Rodney and the Hibiscus Coast those of your constituents who have met you, have spoken highly of you as a man of character and integrity. Your profile on your website certainly implies this.

Here is the link to the article which alerted me to this travesty:

Our current Attorney-General is demonstrably not a man of character or integrity. He has done more to further the cause of radical Maori separatism than anyone else in this country’s history. He has a habit of abusing and vilifying anyone who opposes his agenda. He has never had the courage to face voters at an election seeking either a review of his performance or a mandate for his radical agenda; he cowers behind the Party List. Indeed, many people in my circle are asking whether he is actually corrupt, whether he has a cozy sinecure lined up with the Maori Council or their proxies when he leaves Parliament. I heard him referred to by one colleague recently as “the most despicable person to ever sit in the Parliament”.

Sir, your Party Leaders ignore the depth of feeling on the issue of pandering to radical Maori and the separatist agenda at their peril. There is now a small but significant group of stakeholders opposed to the separation of our nation, and it is growing. At some point, your Party Leaders will be forced to stop ignoring or vilifying them.

    Your Constituent

By all accounts, my local MP – Mark Mitchell – is a good man. He’s going to lose next time around to Colin Craig, thanks in large part to Key and Finlayson, and he will be a loss to the Parliament.

I’ll happily post any reply I receive. Unless of course my comments about Finlayson are seen as a threat, then I’ll let you know when the SIS release me!

    Excellent letter, Gantt!
    Threat? They want threat?
the current Attorney-General of NZ is a loathsome, corrupt piece of shit and with luck, some civic-minded person will shoot, stab, run over or strangle the turd. Soon.
And let’s not overlook the prick who appointed it….

    • Barry says:

      I second that!

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Yes indeed. A loathesome piece of shit. Although of course that could accurately describe somewhere around 120 of the 122 corrupt pieces of shite who disgrace our Parliament and its fine traditions. There isn’t enough hemp rope to mete out justice for the bastards.

  4. KG says:

(oh, and good to see you, Gantt)
