Wabbit just cancelled the order for a new Leupold ‘scope. Any company which is too rude, too disorganized and too effing slack to send a simple email telling the customer the status of his order (especially when the item is out of stock and they don’t know when they can get it)  is too lame to bother with.
I’d sooner make the 700km round-trip to Townsville and pick one up.
Bastards.
UPDATE: By way of contrast, I just got this email from Hall’s Firearms, Townsville:
‘G’day Keith
Our suppliers supplied Sako .243 instead of Tikkas as they mucked up my order from 3 months ago. Given the Sako is around $600 extra retail cost at same price for original tikka I supplied you a Sako. I hope this is okay , the Tikkas are still about 6 weeks away. The Sako is much better quality rifle , tikka is sakos entry level rifle. If its a drama will swap it for you when the Tikkas arrive but at least you can start shooting today!

      (without the gap after ) has worked for me in the past.

      Added: I usually test it first in blogger draft preview. However, as happened yesterday when I attempted to embed a youtube here, even if it works there, that doesn’t guarantee it will work here.

      I’ve forgotten how to embed videos here, but I’m pretty sure that form will work for simple images here. Let me try one that did work before. Bonus: as it’s an image that is demonstrative of daily new revelations, it’s worth seeing again too.

    So, I’m watching the Kerry / Hagel hearings on TV and I’m wondering if the party-switch the Dems say happened in the 60s has now occurred. Liberal Dems arguing in favour of military action, opposed by Republicans arguing to sit it out? Is it April 1?

    Incidentally, Kerry just said there are ‘Good Actors’ in the fight, including Saudi and Qatar. Very telling comment.
