    I’d be surprised if obama finds the balls to actually do what he waffles on about. Personally i think America should stay out of it, it’s not their problem and they just haven’t got the will or the money to see this sort of thing through to the end. The reality is that obama waffled on about a red line and all that, when it was supposedly crossed, what did he do, he filled out a form and is waiting for the application process to go through.

    He is not serious and any strike now is just a waste of expensive bombs. The time has passed, accept that he’s just a waste of skin, doesn’t have what it takes and move on.

    I know this worries Israel because they’re thinking what’s this moron going to do when iran crosses that red line and I like Israel, however this ought give them the push they need to lessen their dependence on America, they need to take care of their own problems instead if sitting with baited breath wondering if some cowardly idiot is going to be elected over in the states.

    They’re not the only ones who don’t want to see a nuclear iran and a syria in that part of the world, they can work with the others in the region to sort these bastards out. America is not the global policeman anymore, that spot is vacant, it’s time the world figured out how to deal with the criminals ourselves.

      Indeed, the sun has set on the “American Empire” and our world wide net of alliances and military bases will be abandoned in the next decade I predict; our tour of duty as the world policeman over.

      However, speaking as an American patriot the new reality doesn’t bother me in the least; after all, our Republic was founded in rebellion against imperialism and I think George Washington would say,

      “What the bloody hell were you people thinking about when you decided in 1945 to become an EMPIRE? What the hell was the American Revolution all about?”

      We are not nor should we ever have been the “world’s” police!
      quote from Pres. Washington from my most recent post–
      President George Washington stated as a warning to the new Republic of the US–
      “Stay out of the affairs of Europe.”
      My Take for these days–
      He would have also stated ‘Stay out of the affairs of the middle East.’
      We are NOT THE WORLD’s police nor are we to “discipline” any other country-we are not their MaMa or PaPa!!-hear that billy o’reilly!!

      We did do battle in the mid East against the Barbary Pirates who were demanding tribute of 20% of the US –GNP–Jefferson finally got fed up and sent the new Marines—“Shores of Tripoli” anyone!!

      That ACTION stopped muslims of Barbary–then we left -Madison had to send a reminder – but it was quick and decisive–We in the US did not stay –we did not have to –AND it was in our NATIONAL INTEREST–
      syria and et al are NOT in our NATIONAL INTEREST!!
      BRING THEM HOME – our BEST can manage our own borders- !!

      Enough said!!!
