BRAVO!

‘..TONY Abbott plans to roll back Labor’s laws that limit free speech on the basis of not “giving offence”, defend religious freedom and reform the Australian Human Rights Commission.
In an exclusive interview with The Australian, the Opposition Leader said that, if elected, he would work with his attorney-general, George Brandis, to require the commission to champion, instead of restrict, the right of free speech in Australia.
This would involve amending the Racial Discrimination Act, which prohibits remarks that offend others on grounds of race or ethnicity.
….The Abbott-Brandis position is certain to provoke a firestorm of opposition from the Labor Party and the Greens, given their deep attachment to cultural and institutional change through the application of anti-discrimination law.
….Asked by The Australian if he had the tenacity to force through these reforms, Senator Brandis said: “I was born for it.”….’

Now wait for the full-on campaign by the MSM to support the Labor/Greens position……

Yes, but they are still gone- burgers. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

City council elections are coming and Craig’s Conservatives are standing in numbers. Let’s see them take the council. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yes.gif

Note this under the coalitions budget plan – “MILLIONS of dollars in taxpayer-funded grants for obscure research projects – such as the role of public art in climate change – will be scrapped or redirected to find cures for dementia and other diseases as part of a Coalition crackdown on government waste.”

From Andrew Bolts blog, it’s going to get really sour over on the left. Only themselves to blame though, they had their chance to save some money to spend it on their useless crap, but they blew it.

Now I just hope there are enough voters out there sensible enough to send kevvie packing and put some adults back in charge. True conservatism is what this country needs, I have a feeling that Abbott and Hockey will grow into it. Sad that they can’t come out and be open about it, but they can’t take that chance with the current crop of scum in the media and the sizable moron-vote out there.

Translation into standard English: The Australian socialists fear free speech will break their totalitarian death grip on the culture and the institutions.” ;-)

The Left doesn’t want a honest debate with patriots because they know they can’t win a free and open exchange in the marketplace of ideas.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Pretty hard to win a free and open exchange when the only weapons in your arsenal are epithets and SHUT UP! Ron.

That’s why our enemy strives so to control and dictate the rules of engagement.

Only one word Conservatives need to remember-FIGHT!gfxlovers.com/smilies

        • Ronbo says:

          Yep! FIGHT!

What else is there left to do when peaceful and lawful means fail to bring about redress :?:

I would argue the American federal government has become a tyranny under Obama, so any means to bring about its destruction is on the table, moral, legal and the duty of patriots.

          • Darin says:

            Ron,
We have argued, made reasoned, logical statements.Tried to convince them of the error of their ways and it has gained us nothing but a headache.Pearls before swine.

            I’m done arguing,I’m done reasoning,now I just lop heads off.F–k them

  4. “This would involve amending the Racial Discrimination Act, which prohibits remarks that offend others on grounds of race or ethnicity.”

This is really good stuff, if he follows through with it. Until we can get past this nonsense about offending people, the West will continue to decline.

    • thor42 says:

      Agreed.

The Abbott government should be a *huge* boost for cause of freedom. It would be great if other governments follow Australia’s lead, but most are now too dhimmified to do so.

  5. KG says:

I believe they’ll follow through with it. Brandis has made it something of a personal crusade.

    • thor42 says:

      Great stuff!

Assuming that they get in, Australia will truly be leading the fightback against socialism and the idiotic “political correctness” that it brings.

    • Michael in Nelson says:

“…the role of public art in climate change…” I saw this and could not really get my head around how anyone could be so stupid as to endorse such drivel. I could be fall-down, blind drunk and not utter such idiocy. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_unsure.gif

      • KG says:

Ah yes, but then you don’t have millions of taxpayer’s dollars to play with, to bribe people with and to waste, Michael.
        ;-)

        • Ronbo says:

Could a victory Saturday for Australian patriots be limited just to one country, or will it be the beginning of a wave that will swept the socialists out of office all over the English speaking world :?:
