WTF!

Australian doctor could be struck off after refusing to carry out abortion on woman who didn’t want to have a girl
•    Mark Hobart approached by Indian woman who was 19 weeks pregnant
•    She asked for an abortion because she and her husband wanted a boy
•    Dr Hobart refused and did not refer them to another doctor
•    He is now under investigation over claims he failed his duty to patients..’
Ain’t multiculturalism a wonderful thing? What next, being prosecuted for refusing to indulge in cannibalism or marry a 9 year-old?

    DO WHAT’S RIGHT :!:

Three cheers for the patriot doctor standing up for the RIGHT :!:

Three cheers aren’t going to help if he’s stripped of his way to make a living, Ronbo. Aussies need to get off their backsides and express their anger and disgust at this.

  2. Do the Aussies have law firms like Thomas More Law?
and- a Document like the Bill of Rights?
    If so>>>
Dr. Hobart should – then- sue the b____ards–

Good luck to the doctor. I can’t imagine the style of disciplinary authority which may pursue him, but there is only one worthy response…..OFF!!!

In most medical jurisdictions if you find something morally reprehensible you don’t have to do it ………….. but you have to refer the patient to someone else. This is not about refusing to do the abortion per se, not about sex selection, not about a second semester (late term) abortion and not about the health of the mother or foetus.

As I understand it, under Obamacare a doctor will not have the right to refuse. In some other ‘progressive’ countries this has also been threatened or is becoming the law. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_negative.gif

I realise it’s about not referring the “patient” to another doc, Mawm. But if her request was morally repugnant to him then he shouldn’t have to facilitate the act by providing her with the name of another doc.
The woman is surely in possession of an effing telephone book and Yellow Pages?

    • mawm says:

The various Medical Councils, who nowadays seem to have a majority of activist lay people on them, have put the onus on the practitioner to do so. Stupid? Yes, as you say, but that is the expectation now……… along with so much other sh*t we have to comply with. The ones that really get me are the annual “Disciplinary Levy” I have to pay (even although I’ve never had any complaints made to Council) and the ease with which frivolous complaints can be made by disaffected patients.

And it is getting worse. Fortunately I’m at the end of my career. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

This patient could, and did, go to another doctor who aborted her child. So one wonders why she made a fuss out of it ………. and then became pregnant again but this time did not seek to find out the sex of the foetus.

Jerry Brown,D-Gov California signed a bill into law today making it legal for non-physicians to perform abortions.

      And mothers will die.

      • Darin says:

Yup,that was always the most violent arguement of the left when it comes to abortion-“keep it safe and legal”.

I don’t see where allowing an abortion clinic to operate in a strip mall right between the chinese carryout and the dry cleaners is going to keep it “safe and legal”.Oh,wait,I guess now the almost mommy will be able to get her abortion, dry cleaning and Hunan Chicken in one stop. How convienient!http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_sad.gif
