Get a good look folks, this is what happens with the EBT cards quit working-

    http://www.ksla.com/story/23679489/walmart-shelves-in-springhill-mansfield-cleared-in-ebt-glitch

For those of us living in the US be aware, the local stores in every city and in every state have less than a 3 day supply on the shelves in normal times. When there is a run on,that supply shrinks to 12 hours.

A supply at home of Canned food, dry stocks and MRE’s even battle rations are a must have.

    • KG says:

      From that link:
‘Another photo from the Springhill Walmart store shows carts overflowing with food, reportedly left abandoned after balances started showing up again on customers’ EBT cards.’

    • The Gantt Guy says:

      System glitch, or dry run?

      • Darin says:

        Both,probably a planned failure.

There is supposed to be a “national grid failure” exercise between the DHS,FBI and other “first responders” coming in November.Supposed to be carried out nationwide.

I’m stockpiling gas for the genset and of course Ammo

It’s going to be a long, cold winter in your part of the world, Darin.

It’s what happens when you don’t have to “learn” to “drive” a car anymore. Anybody can get in an automatic and point it in the direction they want to go.

The admiral has the same problem as those women – she still hasn’t worked out that the rear wheels follow a smaller circle than the front ones when turning. We had a down pipe on a corner where the driveway turned behind the house that regularly jumped out at her car. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_whistle3.gif

I mentioned a few years back my Czech mate got mugged by the maoris. Well his mates (Czechs & assorted Eastern Europeans) got on the piss with a maori who seemed o.k. Until he scarpered with a computer.

Cops weren’t interested, until they caught the prick after a few hours driving around; shaking down shitheads he’d been seen with etc.

      Tourists property stolen: Hard luck.
Eastern euro & Slavic justice: We’ll send two cars.

  7. mawm says:

BTW our newly re-elected mayor, Lying Len, caught dipping his pen into someone’s ink pot. It would be the honourable thing to resign (we know the left doesn’t do that) and Palino, as runner up, got the mayoralty.

    • KG says:

Lying Len resign? Hang on, I’ll look up the aerodynamic properties of pigs.

      • mawm says:

Sexual misconduct is an essential on a lefty CV. Ask the Kennedy’s, BJ Clinton, bath house Barry……….. I could go on, and on and on.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Was listening to this play out on Larry Williams’ show last night, mawm. Of course he won’t resign.

If it turns out he was using the council credit card to pay for the hotel rooms or whatever he could be pushed out, and apparently if that happens they go to a by-election. Palino doesn’t automatically get it.

Of course, Lying Len has form using the council credit card for personal expenses. So we’ll see what happens.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

OK, so they’re using the agit-prop language of the Left, but you can’t expect anything else.

And the fact is, if the Republicans weren’t in complete disarray this “showdown” would have been resolved before it began. The Republicans (House and Senate) couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery and they’re trying to go up against a Community Organiser and his mindless minions?

This showdown has been coming for months. Boehner and the wets have had plenty of time to work with TEA Party members of Congress to agree tactics (and of course the TEA Party caucus has had plenty of time to warn Boehner and McConnell what they were going to do), so they can’t say any of this is a surprise to them.

There’s a reason they’re called the stupid party.

  11. KG says:

“There’s a reason they’re called the stupid party.”
Since conservatism is at present in their hands, that’s a frightening (and depressing) thought….

    • Darin says:

That’s what Ayn Rand meant when she said there is no intellectual leadership in the Republican party.Anyone smart enough is also smart enough to stay the hell away from that cess pit.

Good post up over at Kunckledraggin-

    From the links-

“Until yesterday we had only used our words. Yesterday, we added a single defiant action, to prove our sincerity. Proof of Life of American Patriotism was provided, and left at the front and rear doors of the White House. When the King’s Men saw that Proof of Life, they blinked.

We’ve used our words. I believe yesterday marks the end of words alone.

Real Americans are about to start giving out free handfuls of Fuck You.”-

Two absolutely priceless quotes from that post, Darin:

      “suffering from over-nourishment”
      and
      “close-quarters inter-personal dispute resolution”.

  13. KG says:

Is that the same as kinetic dispute resolution? http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_smile.gif

    • The Gantt Guy says:

I suspect so. I think, reading between the lines, that it involves the use of sharp, pointy and fast-moving negotiation techniques.

      • KG says:

I don’t think the opposition managed to fit that course in between “Doughnuts” and “bullying grandma”. They’ll be at something of a disadvantage.
        How sad.
