Open house

because the Wabbit Gang know what they want to talk about better than I do. Besides, it’s a hot day and I have beer to drink and rifles to clean.

Mugabe’s mini-me, Julius Malema, has started a political party in South Africa based on envy and greed. He will get a huge proportion of votes because in the African mind when things are not going well it is easier to blame the whitey rather than look to yourself…….in addition to killing him and taking what’s his for yourself.

Malema, of course, made millions for himself with inflated tenders for government contracts, winning them because he was ‘favoured’ by Zuma, and then taking the money and not delivering. Now that he has fallen foul of Zuma, but with Mugabe as his mentor he has decided to challenge for the popular vote.

“The honeymoon is over for white people”?
That’ll be the honeymoon of confiscated assets, disarmament, robbery and rape, would it?
I daresay Malema will get plenty of support from exactly the same mindset that makes so many American blacks so violent and anti-white.
It’s time liberal whiteys woke up to the fact that blacks do not regard them with the same bemused tolerance those liberals display towards blacks in general.
      It’s a fatal error.

      • mawm says:

The disarmament happened early, farms have been “confiscated” by the state not offering a fair price and when challenged have said “see if you get better on the market” knowing nobody would buy a farm about to be expropriated, the robbery and rape are “genetic”, and the banks and mines have always been a target (kept at bay by huge sums forked out to Mandela, Mbeki and Zuma). The penalties paid to live in Cuba of the South Pacific seems mild in comparison. I have never paid as little tax as I do now (my wife will vote for Key just because of this  )…..and my money is not devaluing as fast as before, but I do miss the sun and warmth. QLD is looking very attractive since the sprog moved there. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t make the move, Mawm.

It’s the job………plus the accumulated bits and pieces. I do dream of selling up, buying a better boat and sailing away on my own.

    • mawm says:

Michael – that is exactly why I’m not selling up and sailing away. Living my life with my wife is all there is.

It’s tough, mate, and we are thinking of you.

      • KG says:

        Same here, Mawm.
And we think of you every day, Michael. You know there’s always a bed and a friendly place to stay wherever me and Gecko are.
The sharp edges of the pain wear off in time, and are replaced with a kind of dull ache. I’m not sure which is worse, to be honest.

  4. KG says:

The boat you have is pretty good, especially for one person Mawm. With the right gear it would make a fine blue water cruiser. But you know that.
As for the accumulated bits and pieces……..me and Gecko diverge somewhat there.
I can walk away from any possessions and only feel a sense of liberation. It’s been an expensive habit in the past, admittedly.
*shrug* too late for regrets now.
Almost anything is better than feeling trapped in one location and one job. (speaking as a born bum)

    • mawm says:

The boat is getting tired. The hull needs a repaint, I don’t have the time to do it and a professional job will cost almost the market value of the boat, the interior needs a repaint and varnish, the engine is getting old and re-powering will again be almost the value of her, the dripless shaft seal is dripping a bit much and I’ll have to take the engine out (I think) to replace it. A little more storage and a bigger water tank would be nice to have for long term cruising.

Something like this in the Mk 2.

        Nice, apart from
The cockpit is self draining but with low sill height for easy access
        Water tank app. 120 litres.
        Rudder blade in GRP.
Two 1/2″ scuppers from the watertight and self draining cockpit.
        And no anchor winch.

How much does the boat cost?

Question 6 was my favorite as it was most open-ended.

Q: If you could send a message to the American media, what would it be?

A: Americans have overall had a better life than subjects or citizens of other nations because they have been more free.

Stop your disinformation campaigns that aids the destruction of our liberties (as Pravda & Izvestia abetted the oppression of Soviet subjects). We know why many of you do so. We’ve heard it. It is your elitist view that it is only right that common Americans should have a better understanding of how bad other peoples have it.

That sort of “equality” helps no human being other than the monsters who have risen to rule their peoples.

A heads up for all the readers of this blog, especially our American friends. I am a forex trader and have been given two warnings today from two Americans that I trust that there is about to be a run on the banks in the USA with who knows what calamity to follow.
To anyone holding US currency. Get rid of it. The USD will weaken substantially. Any Americans reading this should stock up on supplies, petrol and some cash to tide you over.
If there is no run on the banks in the next week or so, and you prepared then nothing is lost. If you don’t prepare and this does eventuate it could be some time before things get back to normal. Whatever that means these days. Good luck and I hope all’s well.

  16. KG says:

Thanks, Pix. But that was surely before the so-called “agreement” was reached over the debt ceiling?

  17. Pix says:

No, I am afraid this has nothing to do with the debt ceiling and the circus surrounding that. I have no idea why it may happen, I was just given a very strong warning and decided to pass it on just in case the warning could help others prepare. I did have quite a bit of USD sitting waiting for things to settle down and appreciate so I have sold the dollar and bought pounds for the moment for safety sake.

  19. mawm says:

Pix, the big problem is that most currencies are pegged to the USD. Here in Cuba of the South Pacific if the NZD goes up against the USD there is all kind of squealing about how bad it is for our exporters (as the trading is done in USD). The Reserve Bank later quietly allows the NZD to depreciate to its previous value relative to the USD hence devaluing our currency. In another thread I suggested buying Renminbi (Yuan) or Singapore dollars to survive the global collapse of fiat money that has to come.

The credit rating agencies had been telling us that our rating would be downgraded if we didn’t do something about our national debt.

Politicians and media heads took that to mean the consequences would occur if we didn’t raise the debt limit.Turns out the opposite is true, just as conservatives have been screaming for a decade. The agencies wanted to see austerity and a real attempt to begin reigning in government spending,What did we do? Borrow more money.
