  1. I heard that one today; it is so true; I was planning to use it against John Key tomorrow–maybe I will.

    Damn right.

  3. KG says:

Right now we’re in a very good hotel in Townsville. But on one side we have squealing, undisciplined brats and on the other rowdy bimbos.
Looks like we’ll be booking out and going home.
    Bastards.

  4. KG, don’t let them ruin your night–block them out and enjoy yourselves–tomorrow is another day.

    • KG says:

I can’t block it out, Conservative. Wish I could, but inconsiderate, selfish behaviour like this rouses me to real rage.
What’s worse is that the hotel is happy enough to accept a deal of money for a room but refuses to enforce a reasonable standard of behaviour. We’re about to have a shower and head home. A long, empty highway will be a relief after this zoo.

      • Ah, KG, for some reason I thought you were in a restaurant at the the hotel. So you were in a room–that’s completely different. I too get very pissed when I pay for a room and can’t get a decent night’s sleep.

    Drunken yoofs at 3am!

We had 3 nights in a row of our “neighbours” coming and going, which included collections of their cheap, drunk and loud friends directly outside our bedroom for extended periods, between 11pm and 3am this year in Queenstown. There was no response to anything from please keep it down to f**k off. The apartment management also refused to do anything!

What is disturbing is that this is now accepted as normal. Any Trip Advisor feedback that mentions noise takes that accommodation off the list. Any bad experience we have goes straight into Trip Advisor.

“What is disturbing is that this is now accepted as normal.”
Exactly. And we were sitting outside a few minutes ago, watching people heading out to the restaurants on this part of Flinders Mall and a surprising number of them had kids in tow – ready to ruin other people’s dining experience – who should have been in bed long ago.
It seems to be more or less the norm now for people to regard their child-rearing inconveniences as everybody’s problem.
The products of that attitude speak for themselves.

I seldom ever go to resturants anymore. There is always this huge gaggle of humanity in there, all of them loud and obnoxious. If they have kids with them usually by the time they leave a table it looks like a herd of swine have been eating there.
It has become an absolute rarity to see quiet, well behaved children anymorehttp://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_sad.gif

“It has become an absolute rarity to see quiet, well behaved children anymore”.
        It sure has.

  7. KG says:

 Did I say “long, empty highway”?
It was a case of dodge the ‘roos and cattle and road trains. Even the big H.I.D. spots didn’t help much.
But it was a fun drive.
