masquerading as “news” in Fairfax media. The linked article appears on today’s Weatherzone page. I just cancelled my subscription to what is otherwise a useful weather site and let the dishonest bastards know why. The text of the article is pure speculation, totally at odds with the headline.

    Global Warming? Actually we are seeing the first signs of the next Ice Age. Not a mini one that we experienced for 500 years, but the real full blown thing. Ice sheets reaching down from the Arctic and up from the Antarctic. The levels of the oceans will drop. Places in Europe and Canada that are good for growing food will become unproductive. Cold and snow 6 months or more a year.

    On the good side, the skiing and snowboarding industries will be booming.

      Time will tell. An increase in temps would be nice here in Tassie but a drop would be unpleasant (yet survivable).

      I guess I’d better check gumtree for harpoons and whale oil lanterns…

    So the text is at odds with the headline??? Nothing new here, the AGW lot are good at scare mongering and the low information voters won’t read past the first paragraph and remember only the headline. There must be a special place in hell for the media that continue to spew the falsehoods of ‘Global Warming is the cause of all natural disasters!’ bullshit. Assholes!

    The Weather Channel covers the climate change disaster. Should I get my heavy woolen out or my Speedo?     Today we had “Rozz” on the Midday report gabbing to some guy about a case of Dengue fever and inevitably she tosses out “is there any correlation to climate change?”

    Eventually we’ll have sports reporters answering questions about whether the local team won or lost because of “climate change”. :roll:
