I got to fly on a Connie once back in the 1970s from Melbourne, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia – a distance of about 500 miles. It was a very comfortable aircraft that rode the air well and the passenger cabin had wide seats and aisles, unlike the jet jobs with tiny little seats, narrow aisles, and everyone packed together like spam in a can.
Also, the stews were all females, younger and better better looking back then
I stayed at the Regal Constellation Hotel, Toronto, once back in the late 90s, ie before they went broke. There was a Super Constellation parked on the forecourt! Of course I had a walk through and yes, a beautiful aircraft. This may have been the very last Air Canada one, now restored and on display in Seattle. Actually, here it is! http://tinypic.com/r/2ijgns9/5
Leftists/”progressives”/socialists are not welcome here. Pay for your own soapbox.
‘I believe that politicians, lawyers, busy-bodies and do-gooders are like salamis- greatly improved by hanging for a time.’ Oswald Bastable
"The loss of freedom is like cancer; it will spread slowly but surely across all parts of society until our liberty has been utterly eaten away and we are left with nothing but a half-forgotten idea of what freedom was."
Poor Constellation.
When I was a kid I thought they were the most beautiful aircraft of all.
Well,it’s in one piece more or less, didn’t catch fire and the door is opened to the inside.I’d call that a successful landing
