Makes perfect sense to a lefty, blame Bush for everything Obama does and blame Abbott for every thing Rudd did.

Apparently Australia suffers from the same as Rush says “drive by media” we have here.No time for any facts, just blast away with BS and speed off to another story.

Like i always said to westerners, your actions to outsiders or foreign allies are never seen as leftist scum vs Australian or American, it’s always as just your nation. Indonesia will see this as Australian bastardry plain and simple, not the bastardry of a scumbag who fooled us once and the bastardry of a whoring media that hates conservatives far more than it loves its own country.

For all we know, the whole thing is a pile of crap, but you be assured that if it does turn out to be so, it’ll never be on the front pages. The whores never admit when they’ve smeared or crucified the wrong person.

Perhaps now Abbott will take the war to the leftist scum in the ABC, perhaps now Abbott will regret giving such a nice speech about rudd when he thankfully told us he would finally eff off and go sponge off someone else. Perhaps now Abbott and his ministers will start asking these treacherous c****s in the media if they want the people smugglers to win, ask them when they’re throwing their tantrums why don’t they plainly say it was rudd who did all this. Ask them why they want a war between us and Indonesia.

Once again the lesson to us Conservatives is before us, staring us in the face, play nice and fair with leftards and you’ll get a knife in your throat, that’s what they’re like. You best take the fight straight to them, give them no quarter, no mercy for they give you none.

I’m no advocate for making new laws, willy nilly, but I came up with one the other day that makes a lot of sense to me.

Notice how a paper can devote the front two pages of its publication to an unfounded story and then publish a 1″x 1″ retraction on page 57 a week later?
Likewise an “infotainment” program can slander a person for 10 minutes at the beginning of an episode and then next week give a ten second apology just before the credits roll.

I reckon that any media retractions should take up the same space/time on the same day of the week as they did when they were first aired/published. That way if a paper gave the first two pages of their Sunday edition to a beat-up piece that was proven baseless then they would have to print an over sized retraction on the front two pages of the next Sunday edition.

Baseless crapola in the media would disappear in an instant. Journalists would have to start researching before writing bullshit. The more space they gave a story the more they’d have to be able to back it up lest they lose half an episode of A Current Affair apologizing for the story they aired last week.

Viola. Instant journalistic integrity, and nobody could call it unfair in the least.

Wombat, imagine what our nations would be like,if the media simply told the truth warts and all?

Instead we get stuff like this

  5. Wombat says:

Ironically that is an opinion piece and contains nothing slanderous or deceitful. It’s an idiot venting his idiocy in public and is completely protected by the first amendment.

What I was referring to was blatant lies being told one the run in the knowledge that nobody could reasonably hold them to account. For example, he could say “I hate Sarah Palin and I hope she dies” but it’s out of bounds to say “Sarah Palin cheats on her taxes” unless it’s actually true, and more importantly provable in a court of law.

  6. Darin says:

Yes,it’s his opinion, but as a supposed journalist/news anchor,or atleast someone who is trying to pass off for one,his personal opinion should never be brought into the spectrum.
Objectivity is crucial in order for the media to serve it’s proper function. In order to be objective facts must be presented and as we know leftist media types are allergic to facts, unless they fit the narrative.
Just like we see in thier coverage of Palin, the media will not talk facts about her. They can’t as fact goes against their narrow stereotype.Same holds true of any person or group the media opposes.

The leftist media in Australia are as bad as (if not worse than) the media in Sweden (and that’s *really* saying something).
Sweden, Aussie and the UK would have the worst, most treasonous media in the world.

I see that pinko de Blasio has just been elected mayor of New York, so things aren’t exactly improving in the U.S. either.
