“…the current TV landscape where, aside from occasional eruptions of unerotic twerking by sexless skanks, every other show seems to involve snippy little Pajama Boys sitting around snarking at each other in the antiseptic eunuch pose that now passes for “ironic.” It’s “irony” as the last circle of Dante’s cultural drain; it’s why every show advertised as “edgy” and “transgressive” offers the same pitiful combination of attitude and impotence as a spayed cat humping.”
And then he gives his gutless editor at The Corner a glorious serve..

    Attacking Mr. Robertson for his religious beliefs is easy for the left. Anyone who disagrees with the left is evil, therefore Mr. Robertson is evil. He doesn’t have an honest difference of opinion mind you, he is merely evil at his core. It is easy to move from that perspective to Mr. Robertson being insane. The Soviets did just that. Everyone who was opposed to the government was insane and therefore needed to be isolated from society to protect the citizens from this deranged individual. We haven’t quite reached that point in the West, so we have to go with evil through and through and destroy the man’s character and livelihood.

    A great many of the people who think that Mr. Robertson is either crazy or evil, or both, also believe that he is a disease ridden redneck. A backwoods degenerate that has no place in a modern, civilized society. He is a throwback to the days of yore when the Dred Scott decision and separate, but equal ruled the political landscape via Jim Crow laws instituted and endorsed by Democrats.

    Today, they blame Republicans as the originators of Jim Crow and the plantations in a bait and switch job that was masterfully performed. Continuing in that tradition, Jesse Jackson just branded Mr. Robertson as a racist to boot, claiming that he was far more offensive than the bus driver who denied Rosa Parks a seat and attempted to eject her from the bus. I suppose that Al Sharpton will chime in with something about Mr. Robertson and Tawana Briley shortly.

    Never mind that incidences of homosexual behavior dramatically increase in children raised by gay and lesbian couples, never mind that homosexuality is a sin in the bible, never mind that Mr. Robertson is an evangelical Christian and has claimed a love of all humanity, and most certainly never mind that those who preach tolerance, ad infinitum, are the most intolerant bastards of all.

    In the end, Mr. Robertson was not PC. That is the true sin to his critics, and he must be destroyed because of it. All I know, is that the scalded dog usually yelps first.

      I know I’m going to be seen as “Pollyanna” on “The Duck Incident” but I see it as a positive sign that the Left is falling apart in fear of the inevitable bloody nose coming their way from the Right.

      In the military I was witness to one of my commanding officers in a meltdown over the inevitable relieved of duty he had richly earned that would end his career in the Army – so on his way out the door, he made his last two months in office a living hell for the troops.

      I see the same thing happening to the American Left – the massive failure of Obamacare has all the little girly men hyper and afraid because they know that Obamacare is just of the tip of the iceberg of failures that may sweep them out of power for a generation.

      The Left is going down pooper and they know it, but like my doomed major on the way out of the Army due to his many failures as a commander, the Left has doubled down on the petty chicken shit for the troops as the Duck Incident indicates.

    :shock: last night I watched several segments of Duck Dynasty. Started watching it earlier this year. Everything about the show is blown out funny and I laughed out loud several times. The endless one-liners and situations outrun anything else on the tube. :roll:

      Absolutely agree, Mr Contempt. It’s the funniest thing I’ve seen on TV. Mrs Gantt doesn’t like it, doesn’t get the gags I guess, but I’ve seen every episode made and I love it.

    Steyn is a true free-speech warrior, happy to lay it all on the line and go all the way. Good on him, love his books too, he has a way of making bad news sound funny.

    I hope the Duck dynasty show finds a new home and those who support them are many and widespread. Only if we support people like them when they take a stand will the rest of us be free. Otherwise the rest of us will also have to bend to sniveling cock roaches in their onesies holding mugs of skim milk and lite marshmellows and talking about their phantom menstrual cycles.
