‘Websites clamp down on nasty comments’
‘….The Huffington Post is also clamping down on vicious comments. In addition to employing 40 human moderators who sift through readers’ posts for racism, homophobia, hate speech and the like, the AOL-owned news site is also chipping away at anonymous commenting…’
Nowhere in this litany of bullshit, propaganda and outright lies does this ignorant cow mention the other side of the story. No mention of the rights to privacy and free speech. No mention of the threat to privacy. I wouldn’t employ her to clean my lavatory. Of course free speech–when employed on somebody else’s property–is subject to the owner’s preferences. But the bolded categories are no more than the imposition of PC speech. And one wonders what the qualifications of the Huffpost moderators are. Well no, one doesn’t really. The qualification will be a willingness to toe the Party line. Just as Ortutay is doing.

    A number of outlets (the LA Times comes to mind) have stopped taking sceptic comments on ‘Climate Change’. Is it any wonder when there are facts like this out there?

    If only the same website would clamp down on nasty articles, written by nasty progressives. Might reduce some of the “nasty” comments their crap inspires.

      Not so much as a hint in that article, Zen, that the vast majority of trolls are from the left.
      Perhaps I should post her some of the filth that ends up in the spam bin here…..
      It’s interesting that it’s leftists who call for “civility” in public discourse yet at the same time they’re so fond of spouting filth and lies at the right.
      I guess by “civility” they mean discourse on their terms, in words they’ve polluted the meaning of or co-opted for their own agenda.
      “progressives” is a perfect example.

    Eventually it’ll hurt the lefties more, they’re the ones who usually resort to abuse, especially of a sexual nature towards women who won’t learn their place. Also left-leaning sites would become even more boring than they currently are.

    Ultimately it’ll come down to the readers, website owners can impose whatever rules they want to and their readers can go else where leaving that site to die off.
