‘..Gowdy embarasses the stammering witness with one simple question: If the president can ignore provisions of immigration law, marijuana law, mandatory minimum sentencing law, and the “Affordable Care Act,” then what prevents the president from ignoring election laws?     (bold mine)
The witness Simon Lazarus was unable to satisfactorily answer Gowdy’s pointed question, so he turned to nationally recognized scholar Jonathan Turley. He was “not sure” what the Congressional remedy was for the president’s failure and refusal to enforce duly passed laws. Professor Turley then called the escalating problem, “The most serious Constitutional crisis, I view, in my lifetime.”..’

  2. A lawless, undocumented President. The representatives of the people refusing to act. The media suppressing the truth.
    All the ingredients are there for revolution.
    All except one…..an informed population.

  4. It’s a sort of twilight zone isn’t it, no one is really sure what the president will do or won’t do anymore. No one is really sure what’s legal or illegal anymore, which laws have to be enforced or ignored. Heck, even the president seems to be making it up as he goes along.

    It’s one of those moments where everyone is standing around waiting for one to just open their mouth and say what everyone else is thinking.

  6. Whether anything comes of this or not,I will say I have the utmost respect for Trey Gowdy.I also believe he would make a great VP pick.

  8. We are no longer a nation of laws. The President circumvents the laws that are inconvenient. He does not prosecute the laws that target his friends. He adjusts the laws that woo new voters. All of these things we know. What is unseen is that this will lead to vigilantism, and rightly so if one expects justice.

  9. :shock: Trey Gowdy shoots straight. Keep firing. It is difficult to say where all of this will lead. The train is off the rails but has not completely come to a stop. :roll:
    He’s one of my fellow South Carolinians. But of course, so is Rep. James Clyburn, servant to the Democrats.
