‘..Till now, the identifiable sickness that pervades the ABC has been too politely termed ‘cultural group-think.’ Now it should be called for what it is – Marxist corruption and circumvention of the ABC Charter, the Code of Practice and Editorial Policies…’
from a brilliant Quadrant article. (thanks Redbaiter)
Andrew Bolt also has a lot on the despicable ABC scum.
Leftists/”progressives”/socialists are not welcome here. Pay for your own soapbox.

‘..The problem with the ABC over the asylum-seeker issue runs far deeper than bias.
The ABC has been unhinged by the issue. It is obsessional. It is not the content of stories and comment which is the main problem, but the sheer scale of its coverage. This brings into question the judgment of the news and current affairs division, and its self-perpetuating, cultural proclivities at the most basic, granular and reflexive level.’
Paul Sheehan, of the lefty Sydney Morning Herald.
Quadrant is great and apparently sells out at the Wellington shop where I buy it. There is hope after all.
We know how rotten the ABC is, unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be many on the Conservative side of politics willing to do anything about it. I’m hearing plenty of chattering over it, mainly calls for more balance from the ABC, but that’s it.
And that unfortunately misses the point, we shouldn’t be after balance cos we never get it, we should learn from the lefties, they always go all or nothing and almost always end up with half or more of what they want.
We should be looking at cutting funding, get rid of the ABC, we the taxpayer should not be funding state media, whether it’s balanced or not. If people out there like the ABC and want it to survive, then watch the stupid thing, you fund the wretched thing.
Seeking balance and wailing about it only gets us to the point where we’re paying an outfit to piss all over us. That’s what the left are like, they won’t change, it’s up to us to wake up.
My sentiments exactly, Matt. And those of a lot of others, too.
