Green Energy for Dead Vets

‘Three years before Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki would be forced out of his job because of the veterans who had died under him, he visited the Massachusetts National Cemetery. He wasn’t there to see the men and women who had died because of him.
While vets were dying, Obama and Shinseki had turned their attention to something truly important; seeing to it that all the cemeteries where they were being buried had wind or solar power….’           source

Several hundred workers gathered in front of the Cabinet of Ministers building in Kiev Wednesday, demanding better working conditions and an end to corruption.

Holding Ukrainian and nationalist flags and banners which stated, “a time to start the new life”, the protesters said the country is falling into the hands of oligarchy.

Daily Chronicle of the Battle for Normandy

    Monday, June 19th 1944

The American progression in the North Cotentin continues and the 4th American Infantry Division liberates the town of Montebourg on June 19th. The city of Valognes, which closes at that time the road to Cherbourg, is still in the hands of the German forces which resist vigorously. The fightings around Valognes begin.

However, the Allied forces face a major problem: they are heavily dependent on food, equipment, ammunition and fuel supplies coming from the harbor.
But the weather is bad on June 19th in Normandy what limits the air support. The artificial harbors of Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer Arromanches are affected by a storm in the Channel which increases gradually in intensity since June 17. The waves destroy the assembled pieces. The confusion is immense in both artificial harbors; vessels also run aground, some sink and floating bridges break their moorings.

The front supply is extremely delayed and Operation Epsom planned by general Montgomery, which aims at finally breaking the front north-west of Caen, is adjourned. However, fightings continue in the vicinity of Tilly, which is liberated during the day, and British troops appear to progress after long days without much progress.

British troops deserved better than Montgomery. Never was the description of them as “lions, led by donkeys” more apt.

OT but all part of the idiot/corrupt administration. Those missing emails of Lois Lerner’s? Seems they may have a bit of trouble recovering them from the subpoenaed hard discs…

I think some gaol time should be offered in very clear terms to all the IRS drones who have spent the last 6 months or so scrubbing hard drives. There are bound to be few who suddenly remember doing so in lieu of 10 years with Butch as their bed cell mate.

While I’m on a roll with OT stuff, here’s a gem. At the end, a reporter says the hidden object is smaller than a man’s palm. I STILL wouldn’t want it where he hid it!
