2. I was a high school teacher from 1986 -89 in both public and private schools in Florida with a Bachelor Degree in History.

   I will never forget the final examination to get my HIGH SCHOOL teacher’s certification – the test was on a grade school level

   I can recall one question that went something like this in the math section: “A janitor is told to set up chairs for an assembly. There are 70 teachers and 30 staff at your school. How many chairs does he set up ”

   I see the problem with semi literate teachers extends to New Zealand as well.

3. Bah,you guys just don’t know how the education system works.The 5000 unauthorized teachers are half the number that are child molesters so everything is fine.
