Justice? It’s about time.

‘Supporters of a former Army lieutenant sentenced to 20 years in Leavenworth for ordering his men to shoot three civilians in Afghanistan say he should be freed based on newly surfaced evidence showing the victims likely posed a threat after all.
Lt. Clint Lorance, 29, was convicted of murder in the 2012 incident, in which he ordered his platoon to shoot the men approaching a checkpoint on a motorcycle when they refused to stop. Two died, and military prosecutors at Lorance’s court martial said he acted recklessly in violation of the military’s rules of engagement, which requires soldiers to hold fire absent evidence of hostile action or hostile intent. But now, Lorance’s attorneys claim previously withheld evidence shows the men he ordered shot had ties to extremist groups.
“The Army has in its possession evidence linking Afghan military-aged males involved in this general court-martial to improvised explosive devices as well as IED attacks and terror networks in Afghanistan,” reads a memo from Lorance’s attorneys. “The government failed to disclose this information to the chain-of-command, counsel for the defense, and the court-martial. These significant failures strike at the very heart of American due process and show that the government violated its discovery and disclosure obligations…”

    A combat soldier being sent to prison by the Obama Regime (spit!) alone is a good reason to overthrow this government :!: :twisted:

    If there were a button I could push that would blow the EVIL EMPIRE to high heaven, if would push it, because I would know afterwards the stain of tyranny would be removed from Honor of the Good Republic.

    The ROG established by the Obama DOD were designed to get US soldiers killed. There can be no other logical reason for the ‘Let them shoot first’ (or blow you up) rule.

    So let me get this straight, these guys are manning a checkpoint in a part of the world where Americans are loathed just about as much as Jews, where truck bombs, suicide bombs on motor cycles, animals and whatever else are chucked at civilians, women and small children with equal ferocity as a squad of marines.

    So a couple of guys are approaching at speed and refusing to stop, and I’m pretty sure the soldiers weren’t shouting at them to stop in mandarin, what exactly are the rules of engagement here? Yes, one guy must drop his weapon, log on to facebook and try to figure out if the guys approaching have extremist propaganda on their facebook accounts, then twitter, don’t forget instagram soldier!

    Then the other solider gets on the blower to Langley, er yes Miss analyst, we have 3 men of afghan appearance, with beards and flowing dresses approaching, can you quickly run them through the terrorist watch list, we’re shouting at them to stop but perhaps they’re deaf, not really sure, yes I’ll hold!

    And I suppose the guy manning the .50 cal has to rustle up some tea and goat meat in the meantime while the background checks, profiling and fancy pie charts are being drawn up. This has to be the new rules of engagement, what else can you do when someone who doesn’t do this is jailed for murder!

    It’s a wonder anyone bothers to serve their country anymore, perhaps the ‘brass’, the lawyers and all the other arm chair assholes ought to be prodded and shuffled to the front lines, let them face the men refusing to stop at the checkpoint show the rest of us how it’s all supposed to be done.

    However, to answer your question – the military must be neutralized, purged, or killed, as the Guns could derail the coming putsch by the Left. So criminalize and jail the patriot soldiers that you cannot force into retirement. Also, you render those who still serve confused and impotent.
