The NZ Herald is a fucking racist disgrace.
‘Herald on Sunday editorial: A time for humanity above the law
There are those who would turn this into a race issue.
When it happens to a white face it’s a tragedy but when it’s a brown face it’s neglect, they argue.
Simply, there is no justification for this argument because there is no comparable case in this country.
This is a far cry from occasions when a parent has chosen to leave a child in a car while they were in a casino or a pub. That parent – regardless of race – deserves the full force of the law.
The tragic events in Wanganui are not an issue of race, but one of compassion.
Common sense should prevail; no legal punishment can compare to the life sentence this mother is now living…’
What the HELL has race got to do with it? Nobody – to my knowledge – has brought up the issue of race. The Herald writer is playing the race card in order to suggest this woman deserves special treatment. Most of the public don’t even know who the woman is.
“This is a far cry from occasions when a parent has chosen to leave a child in a car while they were in a casino or a pub. That parent – regardless of race – deserves the full force of the law”
Oh? In what way is it a “far cry”? Where is the evidence to support that?
What’s more, I didn’t see the Herald editorial calling for “a time for humanity above the law” in the case where a young apprentice chef was attacked on his way to work by a gang of brown thugs who decided he was wearing the “wrong colour shirt” and who defended himself with a knife. He was charged by the police.

Justice is intended to be colour-blind but the msm is attempting to pervert that laudable intention. The raising of race is, as you say, irrelevant. This tragedy smacks to me of stupidity a colour-blind affliction. I have my doubts that the circumstances have yet to be accurately depicted. If it was out of the ordinary for the mother to deliver the child to a child-care centre on a Friday then overlooking the presence of the child becomes unbelievable. The speculation as to her lapse is seemingly unlimited.

    My response to the newspaper:

Hmmm? So the Leftist NZ Herald thinks because a person is a non-white they get a pass when their criminal actions lead to the death of their child? Clearly, for the Leftist NZ Herald, the issue here is race. In the words of George Orwell, “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.”

    • KG says:

Yep. I just amended the post to reflect that, Ronbo and then read your comment.

      • Ronbo says:

        Great minds think alike :!:

The Left is always pissing and moaning about RRAACCIISSMM, but I ask in all fairness who is always dividing up the people of any nation into a racial Balkans :?: THE LEFT :!:

Therefore, the Godfather of world RRAACCIISSM are the various national political organizations of the Left and their propaganda ministry in the Media.

The end of RRAACCIISSMM can only come by the destruction of the Left.

I think Bloomberg should simply shut up and go get a job.

      • Pascal says:

Given he owns Bloomberg news that’s funny sad.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

        • KG says:

Owning Bloomberg News isn’t a job.

          • Pascal says:

Sure, but wishing the owner of a big news service will shut-up is like wishing his business will dry up. And if wishes were horses, paupers would ride.

            • KG says:

They would indeed. But since fully 50% of opinions and commentary are little more than wishes, I don’t regard that as relevant.
(and plenty of MSM outlets are drying up)

              • Pascal says:

Not fast enough. I can’t help but recalling the Godfather rival character who was always near death. Michael wasn’t buying it. ;)

I’ll celebrate when the NY Slimes is really dead and Carlos Slim hasn’t resurrected it under another name. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

      • Pascal says:

Had a conservative said something like this the SSM would not shutup until he never showed his face again.

If you really want him to shut-up and go away, explaining to the world how this makes him a Jim Crow supporter ought to do it. And, at the same time, shame the SSM for ignoring it.

Making the connection is easy. Would you like me to start it off?

        • KG says:

Not especially, Pascal. It would fall largely on deaf ears and it’s in any case a fleabite compared to far more urgent issues.
And nothing – nothing – would shame the MSM.

Remember your “screwed up priorities ” post of last week?

      • Ronbo says:

The hungry Russian bear is just a few miles away and the mayor is only worried about illegal parked cars….talked about screwed up priorities.

I suppose when the Russian panzers roll into his burg his cops will give them parking tickets and cite them for going over the speed limit of 30 kilometers an hour.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

An interview with a man I admire very much:
‘Thomas Sowell on Intellectuals and Society’
    http://youtu.be/ERj3QeGw9Ok

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Friedman and Sowell. Both geniuses who distill complex theories down and explain them in such a way even a dummy like me can understand them.

      • KG says:

And me, who can’t even balance a budget.

      • Warren Tooley says:

Gantt guy, I know who Friedman is. He basically said that the money supply should grow by 4% a year, that is what is healthy. And the government should provide only law and order, police and a military, but also breadline assistance to those earning the least. Their would be no WINZ unemployment benefit. Just a little to those who earn the least. So its near free market, with a little compassion, the negative income tax.

Now who was Sowell. Was Sowell an Austrian, who believed no government intervention whatsoever and only gold is real money. Or was he a supply sider, tax cuts will fix a downturn. Or was he a rational expectation theorist, that anytime a government does something their will be those who steal the privilege to themselves. Eg their are people who have a student loan, who because they pay 0% on their loans will invest their free money as they will get interest instead of pay their money back.

I’ve never heard of Sowell, till now, so I’m curious.

        • Darin says:

Sowell is in MHO one of the best minds of the 20th and so far 21st century.
          http://youtu.be/2GklCBvS-eI

        • The Gantt Guy says:

Thomas Sowell is an economist and philosopher very much in the vein of Milton Friedman, who was his mentor. He’s taught at pretty-much every university of note in the US, and has written several books – mainly on economics, but also on political philosophy and race.

The Left despise him perhaps even more than Friedman, because he’s African-American and has escaped the plantation of ProgLiberalism.

If you can find it, have a flick through his book Basic Economics; it’s brilliant.

          • KG says:

            Thomas Sowell’s Intellectuals and Society:

‘If you happen to believe in free markets, judicial restraint, traditional values, [etc.]… then you are just someone who believes in free markets, judicial restraint and traditional values. There is no personal exaltation resulting from those beliefs. But to be for “social justice” and “saving the environment” or to be “anti-war” is more than just a set of beliefs about empirical facts. This vision puts you on a higher moral plane as someone concerned and compassionate, someone who is for peace in the world, a defender of the downtrodden… In short, one vision makes you somebody special and the other vision does not. These visions are not symmetrical.[…] Because the vision of the anointed is a vision of themselves as well as a vision of the world, when they are defending that vision they are not simply defending a set of hypotheses about external events, they are in a sense defending their very souls – and the zeal and even ruthlessness with which they defend their vision are not surprising under these circumstances.’

            • Warren Tooley says:

Thanks Darin, Gantt guy and KG. Sounds like a modern free market economist, who can apply free market solutions to the modern world.

I can’t believe that the chef, under attack by a gang of thugs, got charged. He was frigging defending himself ffs!! Was he just supposed to stand there and let them kill him. It’s a real tragedy that things have come to this!!! Sickening and unbelievable. Bloody racist police.

  7. KG says:

“Sickening and unbelievable” it surely is, Lara.

  8. Warren Tooley says:

What’s ridiculous is that Child Protection Services usually invades Christian homes. All that is needed is a child psychologist to say this isn’t good for the child and off they go. Now this was true in the 70s, think of what it is like now. And here in New Zealand, discipline can make you lose your child.

Yet its perfectly ok, to let this person off. Completely unbelievable. Oh their’s an alternative explanation. When they give you child tax credits, and they pay for your child’s public school they are investing in the child, and they have a stake in the child’s social development. The expectation is once the child grows up, they will pay income tax, and give the government a return on their investment. So if you don’t do things the way they want, they’re going to protect their investment. This would explain why the judge doesn’t care about a 3 year old. They don’t see the child as an investment, and that’s why they don’t care. Oh yes, that’s right, the judge is the man on the bench. Banker means man on the bench. Does that explain to you just how disgusting the system is.

Doesn’t this make you sick, they don’t really care about human life. And to sidetrack the issue, they cry racism.

The Lundy retrial starts today. Is this going to be another case of cops with tunnel vision, who, having decided on a main suspect, make the evidence support that?
I have always thought that this was a very dodgy case.

    • KG says:

“Is this going to be another case of cops with tunnel vision, who, having decided on a main suspect, make the evidence support that?”
There’s been more than a few such cases, hasn’t there?
My initial reading of that case, a long time ago, was that the evidence certainly didn’t make the “beyond reasonable doubt” standard.

      • KG says:

        This, just in:
        ‘Crown changes its case
The Crown now believes Mark Lundy killed his family about six hours later than its original estimation, a major change to its version of events since the 2002 trial.’

We can see why the NZ government was so keen to do away with appeals to the Privy Council, which ordered this retrial, can’t we?
