      Automation, eh?

That’s interesting, because it means the gold standard of location for manufacturing would be based on how pro-business the government was.

Anyhow, you can’t go wrong specializing in a job that can’t/won’t be replaced by robotics.

I’m surprised it took this long.

Why bother banning the guns when you can regulate the ammunition into non-existence.

Well, I figure whatever I buy now is only ever going to appreciate in value. And as long as it’s in a “seperate locked container” I can lawfully bury it anywhere on my property that I like

    • KG says:

      Or a neighbour’s property. ;-)

      • Wombat says:

Once it’s in the ground it’s anyone’s guess. Of course, I do a fair bit of shooting and never keep the brass so the registry records of what I’ve bought aren’t really of much use in determining how much I have left.

Those vacuum bag hot seal machines and silica gel cat litter are wonderful for storing things that need to be kept dry long term.

          • Darin says:

I would also point out that the last time there was an “assault” rifle ban or a magazine ban most folks just switched to larger caliber weapons.

            • Wombat says:

Amen to that. By my reasoning it’s either going to be a suppressed 22lr to the back of the head at under fifty yards or a 300 win mag from the next post code.

Unfortunately islamic state is like a zombie virus for muslim nations. Engage it and you open yourself to infection.
You bomb Abdullah in the next country over, and back home Abdullah’s cousin dusts off his AK47. After all. Abdullah was just doing what the koran told him to.

Abdullah’s cousin will ask, “why are my taxes being used to bomb soldiers for islam?”

He will decide that it is perhaps time to visit his cousin in paradise.

On the other hand – We could be witness to the Islamic Battle of the Bulge – where a dying totalitarian movement launches one last do or die offensive against Western Civilization.

Suicide bombers and head chopping could be signs of a civilization in meltdown…

…and the demographics of a falling birthrate and lack of the technological development dooms the Islamic world to death in several generations.

      Excellent find :!:

I can’t stand these Hollywood movies where a 100 pound, five foot six inch woman beats the crap out of a mean 200 pound plus six foot six inch bad guy.

      ….only in the movies.

Also, the remark about women soldiers was spot on – Indeed, they do have a separate PT test, as they could not pass the male PT test….well…maybe Sergeant Kat, the lesbian bull dagger D.I., but not the average G.I. Jane, who has enough problems with trying to move when you load her up like an infantryman (mule) with upwards of 100 pounds of helmet, pack, ammunition, weapons, bullet proof jacket, gas mask, etc., etc. (TA-50)

I kid you not – In Germany during the annual field problems in the 1970s when ALL the troops had to go to the tactical problems in the countryside for a week, I had to help women soldiers to their feet because after their breaks due to the of the weight of their TA-50 and winter gear clothing.

Female soldiers are just fine in the rear with the gear, and great for support and morale, but not in the front lines or special forces.

      • Wombat says:

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I hear there are a lot of *ahem* “benefits” to being the company commander when certain equal opportunists want to get a pass on combat duties.

        • KG says:

They must have no principles and no conscience. Bastards are putting other soldiers at risk.

And yet, there are some striking truths in that article.

Consider the tag-line (in the pic accompanying the Breitbart piece) “Our response to the Copenhagen attacks will define us”. There’s a lot of truth in that. Just not in the way Hugh Muir thinks. His response has defined him as a Dhimmi coward.

Agnieszka Kolek said “…they cannot kill all of us.” Again, that’s true. The bits left unsaid are (1) given the right circumstances, we can kill all of them, but (b) that having been voluntarily disarmed, they can kill enough of “us” to turn large swathes of “us” into Hugh Muir.

Again, from Hugh Muir: “There is no negotiating with men with guns.” He’s right. A man has a gun, either you kill him or he’s going to kill you. (Except of course only one of you has a gun. So, sorry … you die.)

    • Wombat says:

Hat’s off to the guy who asked “what’s provocative about a Jew attending a Synagogue?” http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

      That’s typographical badassery.

When folks like Muir are so far out of touch with their countrymen yet they still have jobs, you know the MSM has been utterly absorbed by higher powers.

Great (and long) article in The Atlantic:
    ‘What ISIS Really Wants’
    http://www.theatlantic.com/features/archive/2015/02/what-isis-really-wants/384980/

‘..The reality is that the Islamic State is Islamic. Very Islamic. Yes, it has attracted psychopaths and adventure seekers, drawn largely from the disaffected populations of the Middle East and Europe. But the religion preached by its most ardent followers derives from coherent and even learned interpretations of Islam…’

    • Wombat says:

      Important reading.

Several times when I’ve publicly shared my contempt for islam, I’ve been asked why.

In such a case it’s a real boon to be as educated as possible on the matter. If your response is “well ‘cuz they jes’ aint right in the head” you don’t tend to win many people over.
