Australia sure has some dangerous animals, but the most dangerous to humans is the
Hippo, Nile crocodiles won’t go near them either because they usually come off second best. I saw a video a couple of years ago where an Orca or killer Whale attacked a Great White Shark, killed it and ate its vital organs and left the rest

Looking at the total numbers of fatalities from various Oz beasties, the risk is trivial. Cars are easily the most dangerous thing in Ausralia. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

The most dangerous to humans in terms of causing death is the mosquito. Hippos are a distant second.

    They missed Drop Bears!

    • KG says:

 Don’t mention the Drop Bears fer gawdsake Os! The tourist industry will be crippled.

Wow. Great pictures. Would imagine that croc had some people changing underwear shortly after. Hope their feeding it well. That thing was large enough, and far enough out of the water, that it could catch onto the rails and investigate the buffet lunch passing by.

We have gators near my area. A bit smaller and they really only eat in the water. Pretty docile beasties in comparison to how they look. Nothing compared to the salties.

Surprised they didn’t show some of the eight legged beasties you have over there. I would imagine you’ve seen a fair share of funnel webs with bad attitudes.

Yeah, I’m no fan of spiders and their relatives, GW. Crocs and snakes are far preferable.
The tourist boats on the Adelaide River in the Northern Territory cause a fair amount of bad feeling with the local fisherman, who mostly fish out of very small boats. Feeding crocs to amuse tourists is just teaching the crocs bad habits and now they’re completely unafraid of humans.
