Colonel B. Bunny:

‘Federal oppression and intimidation of True the Vote.’
This is naked tyranny, nothing less. Killing these bastards would be an entirely moral act.

I have followed this for a couple of years KG. The case was ffeatured on a Fox News program “Enemies of the State”. The level of harassment was unreal! All for trying to clear voter registration rolls, of both parties.

The lady in charge is one tough Texan. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_rose.gif

No politician on the face of the earth would survive their “business audited twice,… personal taxes once, two visits from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, a surprise visit from OSHA, seven visits from the FBI.”

Why, there’d be enough criminal activity turned up to keep a DA busy for decades.

Everyday events lend the idea that the system is hopelessly broken.

Particular revelations like this one make me think that the day for action was yesterday.

p.s. I understand that this occurred in a foreign country but we all know that we’re heading in the same direction.

      It surely was.
Whatever happens in one Western country will sooner or later happen in the others if it involves a diminution of liberty, it seems to me. The slide is inexorably downhill.

    1. It ain’t over until it’s OVER :!:

    2. Save the last bullet for yourself :!:

    3. Although it may be the end of the world as we know it, I still feel FINE :!:  http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

  4. C-CS says:

and all of the govt agencies mentioned in Col B’s post are un-Constitutional

I think Americans look at their country as one would at a beloved parent ravaged by Alzheimer’s. The exterior deceives one and it is unbearable to acknowledge what is taking place inside.

  6. Wombat says:

I’m starting to like the idea of a 25 year reset.

A Constitution that ends with “In any case, this document shall be considered null and void, having no standing legal or otherwise, upon the 26th year of its ratification. Whatever agreement you arrive at, we strongly suggest it includes this final clause.”

Call it a “sunset on government”.

No more bureaucratic kingdoms and regulatory fiefdoms. Scrap the lot every quarter century before it gets a chance to grow roots.

      Bloody good idea.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

      • Wombat says:

One of my biggest gripes is that fact that many of us are bound to treaties that were signed before we were even born.

It seems that the greatest evil flourishes when people mistake government as being the wellspring of civility.

This is an easy mistake to make. After just 100 years of “nationhood” nobody is left alive to remember a time when order existed despite the absence of government. Add another hundred years and even the stories of the time before government begin to fade away.

No generation should be assumed to suffer the results of the conniving schemes and/or complacency of the generation that came before it. Nor should they be in a position to demand a free ride on the success of their parent’s peers.

        25 years.

No time for lobby groups to be effective. No childless, jobless progressives demanding pensions for life. No time for crony capitalism to entrench itself. No time for politicians to win trust, abuse it and then reap the benefits.

        • KG says:

I reckon it’s a great idea, Wombat. And no “public servant” job should be for life. Being virtually unsackable and unaccountable is not the way to encourage good performance. (assuming, of course, that the performance of most of them is actually measurable, which I strongly doubt).

  7. Darin says:

I was reading the comments under an article that mentioned the sci-fi movie Serenity and the fact that it was subversive in terms of a Hollywood produced film because the core message was conservative/libertarian.

I watched it and am now a fan,one of the best scenes from the movie-

“Because we’re meddlesome” sums up the left and government intrusion perfectly.
