   Just for a change, what do you guys like about living in New Zealand?

   I mean, too often we all bitch on this site about how this country is going to Hell in a handbasket, but it can’t be all that bad all the time. How about a little joy and optimism (just this once) in Open House?

   I’ll start by saying how much I love the open, uncrowded west coast beaches on weekdays when most people are at work. For a short time I get to kid myself that I own the beach. It’s great to get away from it all, which is so hard to do in Japan.

   I like living in NZ for many reasons and there are reasons why it gets on my tits too. Having said that; I like living here, as relatively speaking, it is a tax-haven when placed alongside UK, USA and Australia. One of the reasons I don’t like living here is the unbridled negativity of the msm. (I accept that is not unique to NZ though.)

   KIWIS should be aware that New Zealand is the “bolt hole” for Americans on the West Coast when we get to “Dictatorship Heavy” absent an insurrection.

   I suppose we’ll do a “I Shall Return ” before we get on the planes like General MacArthur did in 1942, when he fled certain death at the hands of the Japs in the Philippines.

   On the other hand, why bother to leave the Homeland

   If America falls to Dictatorship Heavy – the plane following our plane to the South Pacific will carry the new American Governor-General to assume control of whatever parts of the Pacific the our new allies the CHICOMS allow us to have….

   Nazi-Soviet Pact Pacific Style.

   So I guess the best deal for an old patriot like me is to save the last bullet for himself.

   The world is turned upside down…old allies are abandoned to their fate…new allies of the worst type…

   well, on the negative side, last night I watched a dvd on 2 German concentration camps. The lead in to the documentary described in person and deed how the Nazis divided people by race. Very similar to current US government tactics. Nothing but Contempt.

   I hear that the murdering child and wife killer Mark Lundy has just been found guilty in the High Court today. Good. Looks like another 7 years in jail on top of time already served. Not enough.

     It’d take more than a trial in an NZ court to convince me of his guilt, given the litany of miscarriages of justice.

       …and I’m speaking as one who nearly went up the river for life despite lack of evidence in a U.S. Federal Court.

       …and I will never forget a prison officer who asked how long was my sentence

       “Five years, but I’ve done nothing ”

       The cop smiled and said, “I don’t believe it The federal sentence for people who don’t do anything is two years…Don’t you know any U.S. Attorney worth his salary can indict, try and convict anyone without a halo over their head ”

       I replied, “I don’t know about that – didn’t they convict Jesus and have him executed ”

       Like the man said, the law is an ass and many an innocent person has been executed or given a prison sentence because someone on high wanted him locked up or killed.

     Whoops. Sorry KG. This is the same article upon which Mr Porretto based his article War Assets that you posted at about the same time.

     He has extended the consequences of the news far beyond the little I portrayed. I’m still aiming to awaken those who still wear blinders while he’s determined to fire up those who already know.

     No matter that he suggests that his audience is reluctant to hear the battle cry, I think his target audience is far more ready to hear him than mine is me.
