Ah yes, the U.N.:
‘IN THE 14 MONTHS since Russian President Vladimir Putin annexed Crimea and sent proxy fighters to invade eastern Ukraine, Russian companies have won more than $212 million in United Nations contracts to ferry troops, supplies and equipment — on peacekeeping missions.’

I got a warm fuzzy this morning reading how Obama’s attempt to end private gun ownership failed in a very dramatic way :!:

Dictatorship Heavy cannot happen in America until the public is disarmed.

….and the Progressives know it :!:

      From your link, Ronbo:
‘..John R. Lott Jr., president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, said Americans interested in owning firearms are reacting to the gun control debate by buying more of them. But he also said polling shows a fundamental shift in attitudes, with Americans increasingly believing that the right to bear arms must be protected and increasingly seeing guns as a way to make homes safer, rather than as a potential danger in and of themselves.
Indeed, in 2000, 51 percent of Americans said guns made homes more dangerous, according to Gallup, the polling firm. By last year, that had dropped to 30 percent, and a full 63 percent now said guns made a home “safer.”..’

      That’s one helluva turnaround!

In a country which harshly restricts gun possession, a defendant opened fire in court and shot judge, killed opponent and co-defendant, and wounded one more before escaping. He fired 13 shots in all

Who could argue that the defendant lacked excellent gun control?

Oh, And you’ll love this journolist’s summation “it was not immediately clear how the assailant was able to carry a gun into the court buildings.”

One might say: “just as it was unthinkable that Michael Corleone could get a revolver while at dinner with the assailants of his father.”

I went to the local gun store today with the intention of buying a few bricks of rimfire ammunition, which had until last month been plentiful.

“We have next to nothing for hunting and not much more for target shooting. We’ve been told not to expect supply for two years.

I wasn’t foolish to buy a whole heap in the months prior. Though I’m holding on to mine, apparently the store is being supplied by customers who are willing to resell their personal supplies back to the store, often because they’re too old to pursue the “sport” any more.

The word is that there are 2 Billion bricks on back order in the US, and we’re going to see bugger all in Australia until those orders are filled.

It’s a sticky problem, first off .22lr is a very low profit margin round,so it’s usually on back burner in the production line.
Second problem is the advent of .22lr AR-15 clones that run through ammo like s—t through a Goose.
And the third problem is hoarding,it’s not just ammo,in the prepper community it’s also currency.WTSHTF and the money is no good, plus you’re too old,or had a bad season farming or there is some essential supply your low on,.22lr is the universal trading currency.

Lately the shortage has eased up a bit,but it’s still easier to find anything centerfire than .22lr.

I’m supposed to have this in my hands Monday,I got the last one instock-

I just bought 550 rounds of Remington .22LR for $47, which seems to be not a bad price, since a box of 25 goes for around $13.

        Nice.
We bought a Ruger 10/22 with (useless) suppressor and ‘scope recently for $500, new.
Horrible trigger, which I spent a couple of hours yesterday fixing.

Personally I think we need a 20 year moratorium on immigration, both legal and otherwise.

Somebody please send this WH spokesdroid a coloring book and crayons. That’ll keep her too busy to open her mouth.

See,this is why Bill Clinton was a better president than Obama. If he was still in office Marie would be bumping her head under the table and none of us would even know she existed.
