As humans, we are able to regard the odds when making decisions. A rational person goes with the odds.
The question is a matter of choice.
The right to refuse a medical procedure is sacrosanct. Arguing otherwise is a step down a slippery slope towards a hideous destination.
I’ve never argued against the right to refuse. Only the wisdom of it.
