   My 15-year-old daughter (who goes to a Decile 4 state school) has no time for this. She understands that she will have to compete with the Chinese, Indian and Korean kids who have been raised in cultures in which failure is not an option.

   I encourage her as much as possible, but she knows that it’s a dog-eat-dog world out there, and that she will have to use all means at her disposal to get ahead in her chosen career.

   At the same time, she has watched her stay-at-home mother cook, sew, arrange flowers, and run the household over many years, so I think that my daughter has a notion of what, for many of these young “feminists,” is an ancient and forgotten craft.

   The real surprise for me here in Seattle is knowing so many intelligent and well educated young Euro-Americans who somehow get ownership of an excellent Western classical and technical education – in spite of the generally dumbing down of education – and work for the many hi tech companies in the Rain City.

   I endured reading the whole article but must have missed the bit explaining their revulsion of Kiwi girls having their privates cut and forced to “marry” some pervert of their fathers’ choosing, either here in NZ or back in the shit-hole place from which they came. I would knock all these feminists’ heads together and explain a few life realities. Someone really should.
