‘The university accused of forcing a Nobel Prize winning scientist to resign over sexist comments is at the centre of a new row over freedom of expression.
University College London (UCL) already stands accused of being heavy-handed and pandering to a ‘baying witch-hunt’ on social media in its handling of the resignation of Sir Tim Hunt as a professor in its life sciences department, following remarks he made about women scientists.
Now further allegations have emerged after UCL shut down an exhibition highlighting the problems of sexual harassment and sexual violence suffered by its female students….
Perhaps we’re getting to the point where pandering to the various “victim” groups will collapse under it’s own pile of conflicting absurdities.

    I was pleased to see some women come to his defense. The self-righteous thought police could do with a swift kick in the ass to dislodge their heads.

      Damn right they could, Michael.
      And it can’t be said often enough that so-called “social media outrage” is in no way representative of public opinion. It’s driven by a very few, often juvenile and uninformed PC muppets.

    If he wanted to really stick it to the bastards, he should come back identifying as a transgender lesbian or something. That’ll really blow them out of the water.
