‘..A retired probation officer has filed a claim to the Waitangi Tribunal saying the Crown has failed to reduce the number of Maori in prison….’
Here’s an idea – radical, I know, but it might just work:
How about maori stop committing crimes? They might find the proportion of “their people” in prison could drop drastically.

  2. See, you only think that because you’re a racist. You propose an overly-simplistic solution to a very complex socio-politico-racial problem.

    “Maori” aren’t locked up at overwhelmingly over-representational rates because they’re more prone to be lawless, violent assholes than the rest of society. It’s because they’re suffering the after-effects of colonialisation. You know, that process that stopped them from slaughtering each other and brought them all the glories of the modern world? Yes, that.

    I know that, because there was a talking head on one of the Sunday morning shows yesterday with the title “Doctor” before her(?) name and the letters “PHD” after, who said so.

  3. Gantt with the terms used, I’ve noticed people define things as third plank marxist communists. The third plank says to “abolish inheritances”. This means how the father has done should have no affect on how well off the children are. If a child has a poor start in life, the Greens call it discrimination. And I’ve noticed in other ways that being factual about someone’s situations is discrimination. Why, because the government is meant to fix it. Scary world.

    • It’s already in progress.

      After a hospitalisation for a fall/stroke/whatever, a bureaucrat from the department of health will turn up and do a mandatory assessment of the elderly citizen’s home.

      After almost certainly declaring it unfit for habitation by persons of vulnerability they will mandate the person must go into state care, whereafter their home and possessions will be sold to fund said care at the typical exorbitant public rate per month.

      I have a neighbour who almost lost the family farm in just such a manner, despite the fact that the daughter in law was a registered nurse who volunteered to care for her full time. Verboten, it seems.

      The day was only saved by her unexpected death before the paperwork could go through. Under the circumstances we can only guess as to whether she hurried deliberately to the final end. Rest assured once they have you in a nursing home they will keep you alive for as long as your bank account holds out, no matter how long and dreadfully you suffer. I see it routinely. :evil:

      • What kind of a dystopian nightmare world is this, where such atrocities are perpetrated on people? I can imagine even Huxley or Orwell refusing to write such a story line, on the basis it is too far removed from reality!

        The things done to the private citizen in every “advanced” country on earth are truly mind-boggling. At least with ISIS the torture stops fairly quickly.

I was once a staff recruiter for a large NZ computer Co. and was accosted in the café by an arrogant systems programmer who accused me of racism because the Co. didn’t employ any Maori programmers, systems or otherwise. I replied that it might have been because no Maori had ever applied to me to be one. The biggest laugh though was when interviewing young women applying for executive PA or similar jobs when they earnestly stated that they “wanted to stretch themselves.” Once or twice I had to leave the room so as to avoid what would now be called an aggressive act, LAUGHING. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

    • In 1977 my military unit – the U.S. Army Security Agency – was accused by some pointy headed Harvard professor of being “racist” as ASA was something like 99.8% white – the highest percentage than any unit in the Army, Navy or Air Force!

      Well, Mr. Pointy Head just happened to know the then President – Leftist Jimmy Carter – and whispered the shocking news to El Presidente wife’s ear at a White House party – and she ran like a bat out of hell into the Oval Office and shared the news with husband – who was the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces – and immediately issued an Executive Order to disband ASA!

      Of course, you can’t get fired in the Service, so ASA was given to Military Intelligence, which was 87.1% white and very liberal about giving wavers to blacks who couldn’t pass the rigid security background checks given to ASA personnel – Ditto for the educational requirements.
