Open house

Wabbit will be lazing around in hospital for a few days, and he doesn’t expect to come back and find empty beer cans and wine bottles all over the place, ok?

  1. I hope it’s not too serious, KG.
    Hope you’re up-and-at-’em again soon.

    • Thanks Tranquil. It’s serious enough, but I sure intend to be up-and-at-’em again. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yes.gif

  2. That “rock star” economy again:
‘Prime Minister John Key insists the mood of the business sector is “reasonably positive”, as confidence falls to the lowest level since the height of the global financial crisis.’

    update:
    ‘BNZ grows worried about ‘near-recession’
As John Key talks the economy up, Bank of New Zealand is increasingly concerned.

  3. Here’s another wish that all goes well, and that you are back here in short order. Best wishes to Gecko at this time as well.

  4. Academia – the leftist cesspit:
‘Multiple professors at Washington State University have explicitly told students their grades will suffer if they use terms such as “illegal alien,” “male,” and “female,” or if they fail to “defer” to non-white students…’

  5. o/t but you’ll be pleased to hear the Sandy Creek pub is reopening.

    • So, the Council declined their Resource Consent. The landowners appealed, and won.

In a normal world, where you lose a court case you’re generally required to pay some contribution towards the other party’s costs. And you for damned sure would never consider having sufficient hide to present the victor with a bill for your own costs!

I agree, it’s time to start hanging a few of these bastards.

Of course, if Environment Southland is the same as the other “Environment …” bureaucracies around the country, it’s infested with greenies who want to shoot all the cows anyway, so it’s really no surprise they tried to stop these people converting their land for milking.

    • Not an unexpected outcome. Especially when one of the ES elected troughers has long advocated for the fetid swamp near his home. And one whom has been banned from most right thinking blogs.

  6. Well KG, you may have to spend some time in hospital but at least you have Gecko to nurse you when you get home. Some guys have all the luck!

What’s the death of a culture where corporate profits are concerned, eh?

  8. I see the perfection incarnate President has decided to wipe the name of an assassinated pre-decessor off the geography of Alaska. The highest mountain in North America is no longer to be named Mt McKinley pursuant to the dictate of Obama. The idiot on this morning’s news thought this unheralded and non-mandated change is a good thing. Interesting to ponder what, if anything, will be named after Obama? A revolutionary war?

  9. You get plenty of rest KG and recover fighting fit.
We need you to keep kicking the lefties where it hurts.

  10. @KG:

Sherlock Holmes says the hospital has good Wi-Fi and have your laptop all fired up, true?

    Sincerely, Dr. Watsonhttp://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_scratch.gif

  11. Be friendly to the doctor it does wonders. I know, I’m married to one.

    All the best.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

  12. Re the flag change, Key now has rugby on his side, and apparently the vote for change has dropped to around 51 per cent!! Seriously, I am worried. With those kind of figures, he will get his way. Surely, the polls are wrong? Key just cannot be allowed this glory, because that is what it is really all about!!! Worried as.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cry.gif

    • I wouldn’t be too worried at this stage, Lara – from what I’m seeing on the interwebs, there’s a MASSIVE rejection of any change. Let’s just wait and see (1) how many either refuse to vote, or vote to KOF (Keep Our Flag) in the first referendum, and then (2) vote to KOF in the second.

As Redbaiter said the other day, if this ludicrous vanity project fails, John Key should resign.

      • Or one last suicide mission if you don’t recover.

Just get out while you’re still well enough to cart a couple of kilos of semtex down to some leftist hole…

  13. Yes, Gantt, I saw that post from Redbaiter. He made some excellent points. It would be so galling if Key gets his way re this, but I think also, and hope, that the numbers are against him!! (It would be a Knighthood next, if he wins!!. Couldn’t think of a more undeserving PM)..oh, glory, glory..

  14. Fat chance of the charlatan resigning though, he would have to be pushed, and with his puppet caucus, that would never happen.

    • Perversion is now nine tenths of the Law.

“The rule appears nowhere in the Affordable Care Act but was developed by the Obama administration’s regulation writers at the IRS.”

  15. Russian Military Forces Arrive In Syria, Set Forward Operating Base Near Damascus.
    Zero Hedge.
    This could get interesting.

    • Oh FFS. Russia’s Med fleet has been based in Syria for the best part of 50 years.
The idea that Russia would give up Syria (or let the Osama bin Kenya or his NATO stooges the Turks, roll Assad) was as stupid as thinking Russia would let Osama do the same to their bases in Crimea.

Truman left Syria and the Crimea and Cuba to Russia. Eisenhower left Syria and the Crimea and Cuba to Russia. Nixon, Ford, the two Bushes left Syria and the Crimea and Cuba to Russia. Reagan FFS left Syria and the Crimea and and Cuba to Russia.

But then along comes the Boy Wonder Osama bin Kenya who thinks he knows better. Result so far: half a million dead, fifteen million refugees — and no, Russia was never going to give up bases its had for 50 years (Tartus) or 250 years (Sevastopol).

  16. All the best KG – hope all goes well. Please let us know – would LOVE to catch up with you again.
    Blessings

    • I’d very much like to catch up too, John. Here’s hoping that’s going to be possible.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yes.gif

  17. Just stay the fuck where you are. You will know when you’re better when they stop bullying you. If you’re better, then you can pick up all the cans and crushed nuts. Get back soon.

  18. Okay, Crusaders!

I’m getting darn sick and tired of cleaning up this here club house every morning….

I MEAN AT LEAST YOU NOBLE KNIGHTS COULD THROW THE EMPTY BEER BOTTLES IN THE TRASH CAN!….and clean up the popcorn that’s all over the place!

…and the bathroom! DISGUSTING! Are you guys toilet trained?

….and who the heck is that sleeping drunk in the wine cellar?

….and ONE THING MORE: This is the last time I’m stocking up the cooler! You dudes go thru the Foster faster than Patton drove thru France in the summer of 1944!

      • Monty never lost a battle and gallantly held Patton’s field jacket and left flank all the way to Germany…The Brits have always been to the left of us Yanks in all things and your Labour Party has given such good advice to our Democrat Party on the joys of socialism – and careful combat with the totalitarians.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

  19. !!!YVTHBOS!!!*

*Yours very trulily has been on sabattical. My pending return depends on various trending issues re Hill’s emails some tens of thousands what b stored in the toilet@Okeefesferalpiggrille.com They are wrapped in rolls of a??wipe.

  20. Many thanks to you all for your best wishes, they’re appreciated more than I can say.
Wabbit managed to convince the surgeon to let him out on parole just two days after major surgery, which is very kind of the man. I’ll certainly recover better here at home in the peace and quiet – with my best mate for company – rather than in that zoo of a ward.
Perhaps the few visits down 5 floors for a cigarette and a coffee helped persuade him?

      • Well, at least they provided elevators. The walk to a smoking refuge outside was much further.
I may give it up, since it gives me little pleasure right now.

      • I gave up smoking some years ago and coffee taste a lot better now (and beer and wine and more or less all food). Even a rainy morning smells different.

  21. What everyone said re:the op. Kick back toes up at home, you’ll be right in no-timehttp://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

  22. Bah! The new google logo is driving me insane.

The colour and font are identical to a barely remembered logo from a late 80s or early 90s board or card game manufacturer, but I can’t pin it down mentally.

    Anyone here have an insight?
