There’s a nasty, wide streak of fascist wowserism about in NZ these days, something I’d have thought was foreign to the NZ character. It’s high time there was some pushback.

I don’t know how you’re feeling health wise, but this opinion from Rodney would be therapeutic.
Feeling like crap, Cad, but that item from Rodney made me laugh out loud.
While I agree with Mr Hide that we are less as a society for the chilling effect which PC has on both speech and behaviour, rendering us more beige than we might naturally be … I confess I find Maurice Williamson deeply offensive. Not because he occasionally dresses up in a silly costume, or because he makes (allegedly) off-colour remarks at a privately-held dinner, but because he is on the bleeding edge of the “progressive” element of the National Party, making John Key even more ProgLib than he might be were there more Conservative MPs in the caucus. That said, it’s up to the good people of Pakuranga to fire the louse, and it seems they’re as-yet unwilling to do so.
